I had ProFlow Painting repaint my house and it looks great. They were on time. The crew did a nice job with the trim and kept the yard tidy. I had to coordinate a bit for the final walkthrough but it wasn’t a big deal. Overall it was a solid experience and I’d gladly recommend them ⚾.

I had such a great time exploring the Sacramento History Museum, and the staff was incredibly welcoming and knowledgeable about Old Sacramento’s past. The gold rush exhibits were fascinating to see up close, and the overall atmosphere really brings California history to life in a fun way. It would be nice if the indoor signage was a little clearer to help navigate between the different floors, but the quality of the displays more than makes up for it. I definitely recommend checking it out if you’re in the area and want a cool, local experience.

If you go to the Train Museum next door first bring your receipt to get a discount on the museum or the underground tours. Cute little museum. With discount by showing train museum receipt we paid $12 for two. It was worth it for that price. We missed the underground tour, 😢. But hopefully next time we can catch one. I didn't know about Campbell's and it's history in Sacramento so I learned something new. Staff was ok not much interaction there except purchasing tickets. Bathrooms clean. Wheelchair accessible and there is a elevator. Cute museum glad we saw it.

Walking into the Sacramento History Museum, I was struck by the subtle scent of old paper and polished wood that filled the air. The layout is cozy—two levels with various exhibits neatly arranged, including a fascinating section on the local history of Campbell's Soup. The staff were friendly, greeting me at the entrance and promptly answering my questions about the exhibitions. I was particularly interested in the printing press area; one of the staff members explained how it worked while showcasing some historical prints, which added a nice touch to my visit. The atmosphere felt relaxed, allowing me to wander at my own pace, but I did notice that some exhibits could use a refresh to make them more engaging. The kids' activities outside caught my eye too; panning for gold looked fun for families visiting with children. I also appreciated that everything was accessible—the elevator made navigating the two floors easy. Overall, it’s a worthwhile stop if you want to learn about local history without feeling rushed or overwhelmed by crowds.

This is a great little museum to check out in Old Town! It has 2 stories, a printing press area, a section dedicated to Campbell's Soup and panning for gold outside! We went to the mini minds kids event for free art activities and explored the museum too.

The Sacramento History Museum has so much information about the rich history of this area that more than one visit is recommended. There is something for everyone, from children to grandparents. Learn about the formation of the Capital City, view a kitchen from the 1920's, and learn about the historic fires that have happened in the Golden State. There is also an exhibit about the earthquake of 1906 in San Francisco and an enormous amount of data from the formation of Sacramento, to the raising of Sacramento's buildings following the Great Flood of 1862, to the Gold Rush era, which brought many miners and their families to Northern California in search of riches. There is so much more to offer in this incredible museum and we highly recommend a visit to anyone interested in learning about the history of Sacramento and Northern California.

The Sacramento History Museum offers a decent glimpse into the area's past. The exhibits are informative, although some could use updates. It's a solid place to learn about local history, but it didn't quite leave a lasting impression. Worth a visit if you're in the area.

★★☆☆☆

It's fairly small and does not say much about the city. It's first floor has the Sacramento Bee, early settlements and the temporary Campbell Soup exhibition and 3rd floor consisted of early settlers and video and exhibition of Day of the Dead. In general the museum lacks interactive activities and I wonder how kids react when they are brought here for a visit. While the Sacramento Bee section was the most appealing part for me (with minimal information), the Campbell Soup event was interesting, especially for all the creepy dolls that represented campbell! Yet I think there are lots of things that can be researched and added to this space, and that includes the history of buildings and busineses. The museum can use this opportunity to be sponsored by the long lasted busineses, showing their history as important part of the history of the city and its suburban areas. An example could be theatres, hotels or factories.
