Beautiful scenery, but overpriced. Admission was $42 for two adults, and parking cost another $21. A simple family visit with my mom and toddler ended up costing more than $60. The waterfall is pretty, but beyond the scenery there isn’t much to do. While we enjoyed the views, I don’t think the experience justifies the cost. At this price point, I wouldn’t return and would have a hard time recommending it to other families.

This is one of my fav places, the summer is amazing, the vibes, the beach, the food and the people… but I also love the quiet winter season, it’s a perfect place for walks, take my dogs to play at the beach… there is so many things to do for all ages, the park is always very well taken care of.

Lots of people trying to have a nice time on the 4th of July- the town made it difficult to enjoy the beach by placing unreasonable restrictions on access , with minimal opportunity for non residents to be allowed in. It did not feel good to be turned away! The grass area is accessible after parking - by some strange circumstances , the weather turned bad right before the fireworks, with thunder , lightning and rain, so the beach was evacuated in a jiffy and no one got to experience the fireworks. Go figure !

One of the main reasons that I love this place is that the park is open 24/7. During the Spring/Summer seasons parking is free after 9p, and all day off-season. If you can’t sleep, are a night owl, enjoy some star gazing, the sound of water is soothing to you, or you just want to see what Playland is like after hours, this is the place to do that. [Heads-Up: The deer and foxes are often out and about during the later hours (12a - 4a). ] There is plenty of space to hang out solo or with some picnic buddies. Just park the car, walk on the path or the grass towards the beach/Playland, and stroll down the boardwalk, past the Tiki Bar, until you hit the end and can see Long Island. (~1mi +/-) Is it safe to be there late at night/early morning? In my experience, YES! I’d say during the Spring, Summer, and Fall seasons the local law enforcement are roaming around, inside and outside the park. They are also often parked by Playland’s main entrance.

Everything about Rye Playland area are wonderful and pleasant and the people are nice and respectful. I go fishing here off the pier sometimes and go to the Tiki food eatery on the Boardwalk .

This is a really beautiful park directly on the water. It has large open spaces, a nice pond, paths for walking and some wonderful trees. In the warmer months you have to pay to park in the park's lot (beginning in mid-May) and it's very popular because you access the beach from the park as well. There is also a restaurant that looks out over the beach/water.

Great little park to walk around in. Views of Long Island Sound and access to Rye Playground Broadwalk. Paid parking with credit card with rates for non-residents, well worth it. If you work up an appetite you can stop in at the Barley Beach House; open all year , they have great food and service.

I love this place. Beautiful lush green grounds on a slight hill plus a cement boardwalk area along the perimeter of the beach. Nice people. Many dogs.
