Mill Mountain Star

There is a nice platform for a city overview. The star is pretty pretty cool. At night, the neon lights light up. Good documentation at the sight. Lots of birds chirping. It's on part of the Blue Star Highway.

Beautiful area to visit. A site to see. Due to limited time and schedule, wasn’t able to see it at night with lights and the star. There’s a nice garden and zoo there as well that should be checked out!

Good place to go hiking (several trails) and nice view of Roanoke and surrounding area. Has kids discovery center, small garden area, and Roanoke zoo nearby. Has nice clean bathroom area. We walked from Spark by Hilton hotel, nice 12 mile hike for half day. When you walk across Walnut st bridge, you will see old Roanoke Train station to the right.

Cannot simply miss this place if you are in Roanoke, the view of the city in the backdrop of the mountains is stunning and becomes surreal during sunsets. Up there on the deck it’s windy so if you are in during the winters ensure you account for the same. Decent parking available and wheelchair accessible!

This place is beautiful and huge! I definitely suggest visiting this park! We only stopped and visited the two scenic view points but it looked like a lot of area to jug, hike, ride bikes. There was bathrooms near these and a small playground as well

Nice photo op spot. Short walk from parking lot. To beautiful overlook and view below the World's largest Man made Star on a mountain.

This is a Roanoke icon. If you visit Roanoke you must go here twice. Once during daylight and again at night. The views are stunning. Open til 2300 so you can stay late.
