This is exactly what you hope for in a true Italian mom-and-pop spot. Everything is made fresh to order, and you can taste the difference right away. Nothing feels pre-made or processed — just quality, homemade food. The pasta was especially impressive. Fresh, perfectly cooked, and surprisingly light. I didn’t feel bloated or weighed down after eating, which says a lot about the ingredients they use. The owners really made the experience stand out. They were respectful and took the time to get to know us, which made it feel more like going to a relative’s house for dinner than eating at a restaurant. Seating is limited, and it seems like a lot of people take their food to go. We chose to eat there so we could enjoy everything right off the stove, and it was definitely the right call. It’s a little on the pricier side, but absolutely worth it for the quality and freshness. I’ll definitely be coming back.

The best pasta of my life. Sooo goood! They were very friendly, food was amazing, I am looking forward to next visits! Cacio e pepe was incredible. I would recommend it to everyone who comes here. It was better than the one i had in Rome. Pizza was great too. Everything was fresh and had amazing quality.

We came down for a the World Cup game and man I was impressed ! This spot is legit ! We recently went to Italy in March and it just brought back those memories . I ordered the Cacio e Pepe and my wife got the lasagna . It was one of the meals we also got together in Italy . The service was excellent ! They called you by name and they were both very welcoming . I really enjoyed the farewell with hearing the chef and his wife say bye by name . You will not be disappointed here .

I had the pleasure of eating here as an out-of-towner the other day and was surprised and delighted to find such a funky authentic Italian eatery in such a small space! Marco really makes the place shine! I was there to try some Roman Style Pizza and was happy to wait for about 25-35 minutes as it's super close to a beautiful town with gardens and it's easy to find something to do for a minute! I tried two pizzas, the Amalfitana (Marco tried to warn me I had to really like anchovies, I'm sure it's a little bit of an acquired taste for most Americans, but the taste was actually very mild and pleasant, the salty-tangy lemon zest component complimented the flavors beautifully), which I ate there, and the Margherita, which I took to-go. Both pizzas were great and I would highly recommend eating here. The pizza I took to-go held up surprisingly well the next day from the refrigerator. Overall it was a wonderful experience, Marco is an amazing host and I would definitely eat here regularly if I was a local!

My wife and I stumbled upon this absolute gem while traveling through the South Bay - and it was an absolute treat. The food is phenomenal, one of the better meals we had our entire trip traveling the southern coastline! It’s a smaller place and as the website clearly outlines, it’s mostly a call ahead and takeout spot. However, if you are willing to be patient and wait for a spot at one of the few tables - it is worth it to experience the place as a whole as well. Marco and Arlene are extremely welcoming, kind and entertaining. Go eat great food, sit for a while and enjoy the ambiance as it in itself is special as well!

This spot has been on my "to-try" list for a while. On our way back from the Del Amo Mall, we decided it was finally time to check out Fatto a Mano -- and I'm so glad we did! Parking wasn't too bad, but I can definitely see it filling up on a busy day since it's next to a laundromat. The moment you walk in, you're greeted with the comforting smell of fresh pasta, homemade sauces, italian man singing and talking, having a great time cooking -- it instantly makes you feel at home. We almost left when we saw the signs mentioning a 45-minute wait because everything is made from scratch (which we somehow missed when we walked in). Just as we were about to save it for another day, Marco noticed us and kindly asked if we were in a rush. We weren't, and he encouraged us to stay, reminding us that it's nice to slow down and enjoy time with friends. That really stuck with me -- and I'm so happy we decided to stay. We ordered the pesto fusilli, lasagna, and the bolognese pappardelle -- and WOW. Everything was SO good. The pesto was unlike any I've had before -- not oily at all, perfectly balanced, and packed with flavor. The bolognese absolutely hit the spot, and the pasta was clearly fresh and cooked to perfection. And the lasagna? Just delightful. Arlene and Marco were incredibly warm and welcoming. We ended up chatting with them throughout our visit, and they truly made us feel at home. We left so happy and already talking about our next visit. I'm definitely trying the cacio e pepe next time! Tip: If you're short on time, consider ordering ahead for takeout to avoid the wait -- though dining in and enjoying the experience is totally worth it.

I had an amazing experience at Fatto a la Mano! The food was absolutely delicious you can really taste the freshness and authenticity in every bite. The pasta was perfectly cooked, the sauces were rich and flavorful, and everything felt truly homemade. The staff was warm, friendly, and attentive, making the whole dining experience even better. The atmosphere is cozy and welcoming, perfect for a date night or a nice dinner with family. I will definitely be coming back and highly recommend this restaurant to anyone who loves great Italian food! The owners gave us complimentary hot chocolate

Took a quick trip to California to visit family. They brought us here for dinner & OMG. From the moment we walked in, we KNEW it was gonna be delicious. We were not disappointed! The owners are super friendly & the food is phenomenal. We went to Italy recently and have yet to find a place that has authentic Italian food. This place was the ONLY place that met & exceeded expectations! So delicious & so authentic! I can’t wait to be back to California & eat here again. Thank you! Grazie mille!
