The Bodhi Spa Providence

This Water Journey was everything I needed today. I was nervous because I’ve never done something like this before but the staff was extremely friendly and welcoming. You can follow the predetermined water journey or make your own. It was very clean and quiet and the most relaxing experience. I would 100% come back!

I was highly impressed with the Water journey at The Bohdi spa , I've been to several in nyc and sometimes it can get overwhelming with the amount of people but this experience was a bit different since they only allow a certain amount of ppl into the 2hr slot so never to feel overcrowded or noisy. You will enjoy two different temperatures of mineral jacuzzi, a cold plunge, a infrared sauna , a regular heated sauna and a eucalyptus steam room . Plus you have a lounge area to relax and take breaks and plenty of water to hydrate. The most impressive thing was the staff at this particular spot , at some point in the locker room I was taking off my pandora bracelet and carefully placed in my bag but it must've clinged to my sweater, when I got back to my place I realized the charms were in my purse but not the bracelet, I called and the girl I spoke to said she would talk to the staff . Well lucky me that night they found my bracelet!! So a special Thanks to the staff at Providence Bohdi spa for assisting and for such a great experience 😀 🙌

Wanted to share my two great experiences at the Bodhi Spa. For Valentine’s Day, my husband got me a 60 min prenatal massage. It was WONDERFUL. Sarah was so kind and accommodating. She paid attention to detail and checked in on my comfort levels several times throughout the service. I left feeling worlds better than when I arrived. I ended up booking again for a few weeks later, in my third trimester and had Sarah a second time. She was just as wonderful and my experience was great. Parking: I’ve seen some reviews complain about parking - which is silly to me given the location. This area of Providence is off street parking for all/most establishments. Leaving a 15 min cushion to find a spot has never been an issue for me. Front desk/payment: I’ve seen some reviews complain about the front desk or lines.. I can’t say I’ve had any issue with the front desk staff (all kind to me). One of my appointments did have a line but was not an issue. It was also explained to me that the water journey was beginning at the same time as my massage was booked, which made total sense! For my second massage, I pushed the time back by 30 min so I would miss the water journey crowd, no problem. I’ve seen some people complain about how they thought services were paid for when booking - this was a question my husband and I had as well. We used context clues (checking his bank statement) to see we weren’t charged for the service ahead of time, so I took his card with me to my appointment when it was time to pay, again no problem. I understand some folks have had missteps with this location (valid) but wanted to share my personal experience - Overall I’ve had two very seamless and great massages here and look forward to coming back!

I had a facial with Avery and it was incredible. She did an amazing job and made you feel very comfortable and relaxed. Everyone from check in to the time you leave makes it such a warm calming environment. This was my 3rd time to the spa and will continue to come back!

Was disappointed by my first visit to The Bodhi Spa in Providence yesterday evening for their water journey. I had let them know it was my first time overall, but i wasn't properly shown around or guided on what to do. Realized it was a shared feeling when i asked another female in the locker room a question and she said she was just as lost on what to do too. The space felt quite small and crowded, and there was a safety issue in the sauna with loose wood on the bottom far right sitting area. Overall, it didn't feel like the experience i was hoping for. I would maybe try other locations to see if there was a difference, but probably only if I were able to snag their same 2 for 1 deal as I don't feel the price is reflective of the experience.

*EDITED* After speaking with Leah, the general manager of Bodhi Spa (the Providence location), I feel the need to update my review. Leah explained the booking system had just been transferred over to a new system, which contributed to the lack of communication. I have to say Leah took the time to address each of my concerns, and apologized for the negative experience. She also informed me that the customer service should be a top priority, and even brought a small group back to experience the water journey the right way - which was such an unexpected offer. Communication and check in were 110% better the second time. I cannot thank Leah enough! I am not at all satisfied with the experience at Bodhi spa. Prior to our private event, I reached out to Bodhi spa on multiple occasions, and through multiple channels with zero outreach from the spa. Only when I received a confirmation email, was I able to get in touch with someone regarding my questions and issues. I had a member of our private party that ended up not able to participate in the water journey, I again reached out multiple times days prior in efforts to see if she could participate in another service, and again once I received my confirmation email, I was informed at 12:30 was available- great- I sent an email back stating the member of the party would take the 12:30 appointment; then I was told to call the spa to schedule (that would be great if a staff member actually picked up the phone). I called and, to my surprise, a staff member picked up the phone, I explained the situation, and asked to book the 12:30 massage, and was told that there are no spots available. I, as the event organizer, obviously was frustrated at this point, especially because I had called, and texted, and attempted to utilize the online "bot", again with ZERO communication from the spa. Thankfully, the day of the event, an appointment for a massage became available, and the member of the party was booked (assuming the massage would essentially be a lateral move from the water journey, and not an additional cost considering we only had a total of 10 participants and the event holds up to 15 people so the spa clearly made money off of the low attendance). The day of the event the party arrives, the staff was not knowledgable, and did not explain the journey well. Also, prior to the event I sent the participants emails, robe sizes, and sandal sizes as requested by the spa not once but twice, and the staff had only stocked medium robes and all the same sized sandals. I stated I sent in the list of robe sizes, and the women shook her head, rolled her eyes, and rudely said she didn't have it. I pulled up the list, gave it to the women, and somehow the robe and sandals sizes were still incorrect. The water journey itself was enjoyable. Upon check out, the staff at the desk states it's $160 for the massage...she didn't think to mention that the massage would be an additional cost prior to the service. All in all the staff was not helpful, rude, and the communication was terrible. I will not be recommending Bodhi to any of my fellows brides, family or friends. I will absolutely seek self care elsewhere. I wanted my best friend to have the best bachelorette experience and unfortunately Bodhi absolutely failed.

First time trying water journey here after going to the Newport location a couple of times. Same outstanding customer service and experience. Saunas were perfect, facilities clean and well maintained. There is no outdoor sauna here like in Newport, but definitely not a deal breaker. Parking on the street was very easy (4:30pm on a Sunday though). I’ll be back for sure. Price seems to have gone up from $85 to $100, but so has everything lately. For 2,5 hours it still feels reasonable.

Cecelia the masseuse left me feeling incredible! She has the hands of an angel and would definitely recommend. Best spa within 100 mile radius!!
