Wonderful place to visit We really enjoyed our visit here. The exhibits are well done and very informative, and the detailed scale models are impressive — especially the lighthouse area and the historical layout. Everything is clean, well organized, and thoughtfully presented. It’s a great place for both adults and kids — educational, interesting, and easy to explore at your own pace. The outdoor area is beautiful as well, with a calm, pleasant atmosphere.

Family of 5, 3 kiddos Any place that can keep my kids entertained without much work from me, gets 5 stars. This place has history and learning for the adults while somehow keeping the kiddos in enough to enjoy the whole tour. Maybe it’s the ability to walk through the homes or small buildings and all the nest displays surrounding. The only tough part was sitting through the video, but they made it. After walking through all buildings, we went for the Lighthouse. It was a cold, windy day but very cool learning the history first then heading up those steep spiral stairs wondering how someone did it multiple times a day. The little walk through the woods to learn about Nelly. My kids were less enthralled with reading the story, I read it, while they enjoyed zipping through the little woodsy maze. lol. The little cat graveyard absolutely stopped them in their tracks and they were very interested then! To which I was able to explain the story quickly! The staff were informative and passionate! Loved it!

I had a wonderful time here. It is very quiet, calm, peaceful, and incredibly informational. My bf and I walked in and talked with Renee. She was super kind, offered lots of facts, and was incredibly friendly. She also recommended we do the lighthouse first. The view is absolutely breathtaking.

Beautiful location and grounds. This is a very well maintained historic lighthouse, buildings and overall property. Getting to the top is a challenge but well worth it. The nearby historic hotel/residence is a must see as well. Beautifully restored building on an amazing property

Such a great experience! Easy to arrive, buy the tickets and shop the store (reasonable pricing!) and the history here was so cool in all the keeper’s homes. The climb to the top wasn’t easy but so worth it! The climb back down was actually tougher but just hold on and be careful. We really loved it and highly recommend.

The place is very nice and the lighthouse is well-maintained. The view from the top is beautiful. You have to climb several steps, but it's worth it. However, I have to explain why I'm taking away ⭐️one star. I visited based on a recommendation, and the information indicated that the entrance fee was $6.95. Two families went last Sunday, and once at the center, we asked for the seven tickets. Two members of our group couldn't climb the stairs (one in a wheelchair), so we just needed to walk through. The woman told us it was $11.95 per person because it included some museums around the lighthouse. We insisted that we were only interested in the lighthouse, but she insisted it was $11.95. She wasn't very pleasant when she asked if we spoke Spanish. We told her we spoke both languages. So, we bought the tickets for $11.95. Once inside, there were several museum houses, but only one was open, along with the lighthouse. So, why did they charge this price? Once we left, we noticed the entrance fees. 🧐🧐🧐🧐
