Gateway Clipper Fleet

Our team met for a night off work and they enjoyed this! They said the dinner was amazing, service was great, views beautiful of our newest added county! They said that it was informative and relaxing. It was our Forensic Regional Director from Philadelphias first time in Pittsburgh and she LOVED it. Captain greeted us, pictures were beautiful, and we will definitely be back!

Downtown Pittsburgh site-seeing is not complete until you've been on the Gateway Duchess Clipper. This river cruise (with friendly staff and excellent narration) provides you multiple vantage points of the beautiful downtown area that's not readily available anywhere else. You get to see several of the historic downtown bridges up close to include underneath while listening to entertaining history. Snacks and drinks are available for purchase on the cruise and there is a lot of outside seating on the top deck. You can also purchase a souvenir photo of your voyage, but we do wish whey had additional souvenir items.

I highly recommend Gateway Clipper Fleet. The staff was great! (Online and in person.) Our captain was engaging throughout the trip. The only issue was, I ordered a photo, but it is only for certain boat rides. So, pay attention when ordering online.

Took a ferry to the Steeler game to avoid the crazy parking at the stadium. Was a fast and smooth transition from land to "sea" and vice versa. The trip was fast, but not TOO fast, allowing us to take in the city views both during the day and night. Was a lovely experience, and I'd very much like to ride one again for one of their other experiences!

I don’t know if I have the words for just how perfect this was and two very special people I hope you’ll reward and applaud because of it, Kelly, And Captain Joe…. I couldn’t wait to leave a review for this because Kelly, and Captain Joe Made our trip to Pittsburgh Complete, it was because of their kindness and warm welcome aboard that We will never, ever forget Our trip to Pittsburgh that was especially for, and because My Husband always wanted to see The Gateway Clipper fleet, It was everything and then some, but what ended up being the most special part besides all the superb information you learn about the city, is The Kindhearted people, I can’t even begin to say enough kind things about Captain Joe and First Mate Kelly, could there be a better team? I don’t think so!!!! They worked so beautifully together and if Captain Joe ever retires I’d love to see Kelly Captaining this ship, because she was Absolutely positively incredible, My husband is the Anesthesia Chief and I’m an award winning chef who’s had my work Served at The Queens estate, I also blog From “Here to Hollywood” from my culinary social media following, and let me tell you, we’ve seen it all but we’ve never seen a team as kind or as genuine or as warm and exceedingly special than Kelly and Captain Joe, I hope with all my Heart you give them every bit as much of a rewarding career as they give guests aboard your ship, they deserve every promotion and opportunity I can think of because let me tell you, those two didn’t just meet every hope we had for our soul purpose of coming to Pittsburgh on one of your sightseeing trips ….they far exceeded it and I so hope you’ll applaud the two of them for a job well done and I pray every ounce of Kelly’s and Captain Joes thoughtfulness is returned to them ten fold and in the most abundantly blessed of ways because they are so special and so kind and went above and beyond during our time on their ship Kelly-That Morning we were on Our way for Coffee and Passed as She was out jogging, we had no idea who she was, where she worked or even that our paths would cross again later, But she seemed to have that kind of friendly demeanor that made you want to say Hello, even in passing so I did, I’m so glad I did because she made a friend for life after that day, because we would later return to the ship and have the nicest conversations with Her and Captain Joe, and when the Sailing was complete, we even got to see the captains quarters and Captain Joe as well as Kelly Really taught us a lot and shared such laughter and kindhearted conversation it was all such an unbelievable experience that made all the hours upon hours from Lancaster To Here and back as well as Our Booking the Hotel and all that so well worth while, They’re so worth it, We’ll be telling everyone we know, and also plan to hopefully return in the fall months to see it and them again, We absolutely loved it and I hope the owners of this company read these reviews and care about their staff even half as much as their staff cares about their customers, Even the photographer gave us one of the best photographs we’ve probably ever had of the two of us, And Her friend working the gate was also super kind and informative, we never buy the souvenir photos, but we bought these ones because they were Spectacular Captain Joe-Your sense of humor and warmth was priceless, You’ll never know how much you were enjoyed and appreciated, You’ve got so many worthwhile and incredibly interesting stories, You’ve really lived such an incredible life and know top quality when you see it, I can tell because that’s what you give others, You really were so stellar and have such an eye for quality and a sense of humor like few others we’ve ever met, You’re the Best Captain and they’re so lucky to have you *On this ship we’ve Encountered two Hearts of gold and I hope this company pauses to applaud and rewards them with every opportunity and promotion they deserve because they really deserve a r

Went on a captain’s dinner cruise. Food was great! Lovely evening for a cruise. Seating available outdoors for the cruise as well. They did give a little information on the sites you pass.

We enjoyed our dinner cruise on The Princess. The food was delicious and the staff very friendly. And viewing Pittsburgh from the 3 Rivers was breathtaking.

This was interesting but I thought I'd get to go further into the river. The tour guide was animated and not funny but knowledgeable. I don't know if I'd pay 30.00 again for a second trip.
