Iron Chef

Iron Chef is one of those rare places where you feel like family the moment you walk in. The owners and staff are incredibly welcoming and the service is always outstanding. The food quality and vibe are perfect. Some of our favorite dishes include the lo mein noodles, the cucumber salad, the katsu chicken and the yellowtail jalapeño —it’s honestly way better than Nobu! It’s our favorite neighborhood go-to spot. Great food, great service, and such a warm atmosphere. Highly recommend—perfect for dates, family outings or celebrations. <3 love it!

Best neighborhood sushi place! Everyone is So welcoming and friendly. The Food is always so yummy and they have great sushi prices all the time

The spring egg rolls were very good, crispy, and freshly made. The shrimp fried rice was ok, I always order my rice without eggs. The rice only had onions in it, the flavor was ok. I would go back again! I’m still looking for a favorite Chinese food restaurant in Scottsdale.

We sat on the patio and were greeted very quickly and with a great smile. Our server, Cindy, was extremely friendly and guided us to enjoy some great items on the menu. We had the yellowtail jalapeño and it was delicious. We had several rolls. And while one of them did not land well on my personal palate, she recognized it quickly and offered us a replacement option. Very attentive service and nice presentation of the food as well. And the extra roll we did not enjoy was boxed and she asked us to give it to our family and friends.

The triple delight was delicious at the Iron Chef off of Tatum Blvd in North Phoenix. It’s a nice combination of chicken, beef & shrimp with an assortment of different types of vegetables and a nice brown sauce. $14 for this dish I think it’s really a spectacular price for this type of quality.

I was surprised by how affordable everything was especially with the huge portions and thick sashimi and the wonton soup ended up being my favorite part of the meal. The friendly service and great value make this a spot I'd happily recommend to anyone who loves sushi and sashimi.

Words and photos will never express the perfect experience we had for lunch today!! Arrived on a Sat. at 12pm, we were originally afraid it wasn’t opened, but it was and they were ready for us. Just two of us, but Cindy, our server fed us for 4! The size, quality and service was hands down perfection. No complaints and we can’t wait to go back. Sushi Vibe was once our favorite, but this place takes the cake. No comparison and especially with service, price and size! We love you Cindy, thank you for treating us like we were at home! ❤️ hIGHLY RECOMMEND!!

My wife and I get takeout here occasionally. It's generally a good balance between cost and quality, when all is right with the food. There's better sushi for more money elsewhere, and there's worse sushi for the same price elsewhere too. For that value proposition, in the best circumstances, I'd give them 4-5 stars. BUT I have to rate right down the middle at 3 stars because, many times now, I have received deep fried rolls that are overdone. Like, "rock hard, cannot bite into them much less enjoy the taste" levels of overdone. If it were just a once-or-twice occurrence, whatever, it happens. I'm the kinda guy who will accept a poorly cooked order occasionally without fuss. It's not gonna be perfect every time, that's fine, I get that and I'm not usually bothered enough to fight against the hands of fate when it inevitably happens. But at this point, over the course of a few years now, it's getting to be about a 50/50 coin flip between good or inedible when we order from here. That gamble has turned me away from eating here as often as I used to. Now, to their credit, they've always been happy to remake the order when requested. But the issue is that we usually order takeout and don't even discover if a roll's overdone until we get home, in which case I'm not particularly inclined to go back out to get them to replace it. We've just started to elect for other restaurants completely, more often than not.
