I am always blessed by my fellow brothers and sisters in Christ! From the first time I walked through the doors. Pastor Mark is a wonderful Pastor as is all the Associate Pastors. I could go on and on. Happy Blessed Birthday Church!

This church is responsible for leading me towards God! The most friendliest group of awsome people I have ever meet in my life. Pastor Zach, Bill, Manny, Jesse, and pastor Devaughn and I meet at a retreat that my fiance signed me up with out me knowing. And let me tell you it was the best surprise she could have ever giving me. It changed my entire life and I'm truly in peace with my heavenly father. Thank you Calvary for doing what you do best. And thank you guys for not judging me and allowing me to be apart of this awsome family.

The Lord is working through his people in this wonderful place. From high mountains like the baptism of my husband, to the precious days of my children having fellowships, and even bringing beautiful flowers into a valley of deep grief; the ministry team at Calvary Phoenix has been full of the love and goodness of God. I’m very grateful the Lord led us here. They love Jesus and they share his truth and love for each of us and all of us. I pray God continue to abundantly pour out his grace upon and through them all. Special thanks to the humble women and children’s ministry for being drink of living water and gently leading those with young. 🤍

Pros: The volunteer staff at the welcome center was wonderful. They informed me how I could get involved and grow at CalvaryPHX. There are community groups, bible studies, community service outreach, etc., that I thought would be important to be a part of. I enjoyed the people I encountered within the church. Another pro is the idea of expository preaching and Christ-Centered hermeneutics with some topical teaching at times. It is a nice balance. Cons: The execution on welcoming new people from the church staff itself was a let down. After meeting with one of the pastors, we discussed the idea of getting involved within the church and volunteering, perhaps by facilitating a class going through a book of the Bible. The pastor asked for a reference within Calvary Chapel to ensure I could teach and had similar theological beliefs, and I gave him one. I had several other references I could have given from my seminary and former Calvary Chapel church as well. The pastor promised to get in touch with my former pastor and did not. My former pastor is well known at Calvary Chapel and credible in his experience and role. He holds a few important positions within Calvary Chapel Global Network. I signed up for a class for those wanting to learn more about this particular Calvary Chapel, and once again a pastor said he would get in touch with us all to see how we would like to get involved in the church and if we had further questions. That also never took place. I think it is important in any organization to be a person of your word. My experience told me that this church may be unorganized and I did not feel like a priority as someone wanting to get involved. I want to be a part of a church that empowers people who want to grow in their faith and contribute to the church. Another thing that bothered me was the extent to which the pastors got political unnecessarily in their sermons. In eight Sundays I attended, politics were brought up seven times. Even though some of my political views actually line up with the church, I think it is the wrong approach to focus too much on politics. It is out of balance in that regard. After eight weeks attending the church, I realized, at least for now, it is not a good fit. Summary: No church is perfect. There are some good things about this church. I think it needs to be more organized and the staff needs to fulfill promises. It is imperative to focus more on edifying the church by pointing people to Jesus, since he is our hope.

Me and my wife won't be returning we went last Sunday the usher told me and to leave as we thought we were waiting for prayer. I was praying and I got up and tripped over the carpet I bent over to put the carpet back under the table so one would trip too. The table on the edge of the carpet I put the table back ,and the drawers popped open. Then the usher accused us of stealing. The New city church that by our hotel didn't judge us or accused us of anything they prayed for our son of whom is on the street. I.m sorry your church doesn't want us there. Please post here what your dress code or what it takes to attend your church. Yes celebrate recovery acceptanced me,and wife we are here now. Are veterans welcome?. Of whom are struggling?. Won't recommend your church to my battle buddy or my other troops I served with.
