Dr. Mirzadeh is not all he’s cracked up to be. He turned my sister away, refusing to help her. No referral for any help at all… just left the room after she begged for his help, sobbing on the floor from knowing what going on with the extreme pain she’s battling means. Just awful.

I really like Dr. Mirzadeh. He is an expert in his field & has performed several surgeries for me. Now I'm back for yet another surgery. I like that he is knowledgeable & efficient. My only complaint is how long I waited today, but he was called back to the OR which caused delayed clinic times but that is to be expected from time to time. While waiting is never ideal, I recognize that caring for surgical patients sometimes requires unexpected schedule adjustments. Also, if I put myself in that patient's shoes, I would certainly want Dr. Mirzadeh to come back to the OR for me if I needed additional care. Overall, I have been very pleased with the care I have received and would not hesitate to recommend Dr. Mirzadeh to others.

After seeking treatment from two other neurosurgeons and receiving less than favorable treatment options, I was relieved to finally be walking through the door at Barrow Brain and Spine, especially after all the time and effort it took to get in. The office is clean, modern, and runs very efficiently despite being extremely busy dealing with complicated and serious medical issues. If it hadn't been for patient coordinator Miranda Brady and office manager Brianna Becker I might still be waiting for an appointment. Dealing with the referral department was the only frustrating part of the process but Miranda stepped in and was able to get me an appointment with Dr. Uribe, a world renowned surgeon specializing in my diagnosis. Meeting with the Dr was very positive. He spent a good hour with me, reviewing my imaging and laid out what my treatment options were. He was very polite, down to earth and certain that he could fix my issue and get me back on the tennis court within several months. If that wasn't reassuring enough, I then met with Brianna to schedule my surgery date and answer all my other questions. She was very friendly, professional and accomodating. She addressed my concerns and immediately started the scheduling process. She was even kind enough to follow up with me by phone the next day, leaving me feeling valued as a patient. All in all my visit to Barrow Brain and Spine was very positve and worth all the heartaches it took to get in. I know I'm in good hands!

I had a cervical fusion performed by Dr. Kakarla, and I couldn’t be more confident in the care I received. He is straightforward, efficient, and clearly very skilled at what he does. I appreciated the no-nonsense approach—it made it easy to trust his recommendations and feel prepared going into surgery. The procedure went smoothly, and my recovery has been better than I expected. If you’re looking for a highly competent neurosurgeon who values precision and results over unnecessary fluff, I would absolutely recommend him.

We scheduled a six week follow up and never received a call. The office claims no knowledge when we know for a fact we did schedule. You will have to be on top of communication because their office staff struggle.
