Lake Katherine Nature Center

Beautiful area with so many scenic spots. There's a waterfall and a great trail around the lake and park area. There's a lot of excellent views of the lake on the trail with benches available throughout for those who want to take in the views. The park also connects to the Cal-Sag Trail for those who want a longer hike. There's plenty of parking available.

It was my first visit, and honestly, the day felt amazing 🌞. The scenery was still partly frozen, and I loved watching the geese strolling across the remaining ice 🪶❄️, while ducks were happily swimming in the melted areas 🦆💧. The trail had some muddy spots, but it was still easy enough to walk through 👣. Even with the mix of ice and thaw, the landscape looked really unique and peaceful 🌿. I’m really excited to come back in the spring to see how everything transforms and comes to life again 🌸✨.

First time. Beautiful day. Geese came to walk on whatever ice that was left. Ducks swam in what was melted. Trail was a little muddy but passable. Still had interesting landscape. Can't wait till spring to see the changes.

Very pretty and peaceful. Plenty of parking, lots of wildlife, beautiful butterfly garden and the swans are so pretty. I enjoyed my walk around the pond.

Really enjoyed my time at Lake Katherine. The park is clean, peaceful, and perfect for walking or getting a light workout in. Being right on the lake adds to the whole experience, especially around sunset. It’s a great spot to relax, get some fresh air, and clear your head. Definitely one of those places you can go to reset for a bit.

Our students went there on a field trip, and the event was wonderful! Although the rain at the beginning of the scavenger hunt dampened a few spirits, LK staff provided rain ponchos and enthusiasm that carried us through until the sky cleared, and the sun came out. We felt that the provided map should have had more identifiable landmarks, like the big wooden chair, the archway, identification of land areas/bays. The staff was awesome, professional, courteous, helpful and knowledgeable! It's a great place for a field trip, a place to meditate, or just enjoy nature with someone.
