A must-see in Palm Beach, rain or shine! Relatively easy access and comfortable self-guided or formal guided tours available. Phtography is permitted as long as you don’t use flash. Many rooms are dark so you have to just go with it. Didn’t make it to the second floor (bedrooms) during this visit. Museum store is temporarily see up in an inner courtyard. Outer building was a later add-on to protect the original train car with a fabulous interior!

A truly beautiful and memorable experience. The Henry Morrison Flagler Museum is breathtaking, both inside and out. The architecture, furnishings, and history of the estate are fascinating, and the museum does an excellent job bringing the Gilded Age to life. We spent several hours exploring and could have stayed longer. Every room offers something interesting to discover. If you’re visiting Palm Beach, this is a must-see attraction.
This museum is so beautiful! Flagler’s perfectly preserved rail car is probably the most unique exhibit here. The guided tour that is included with the ticket price is definitely worth it to learn more. We went in the off season—not at all crowded and some rooms closed for renovations, but still very worth the visit!
What a wonderful visit! Every part of our tour and visit from start to finish was comfortable. Temperature controlled. Multiple food options- from a place to enjoy a packed lunch to a beautiful table overlooking the water where you could sip champagne. Enjoyed the history and exhibits. Would not recommend this tour for children under 13.
We thoroughly enjoyed this step back in time historical museum. We chose the self guided tour option and it allowed us to seamlessly navigate from room to room, avoiding the crowds. We moved rather quickly thriugh the indoors and the outer patio plus train car. It took 1.5 hours, but could have been longer if we took our time. They have a dining area in the train car facility. It was not in use when we visited, but it would be a very enjoyable place to dine.
A bit of history, a bit of classical architecture, a bit of fashion. The Flagler Museum was a pure delight. We went during the week, so there weren’t many crowds. The audio walking tour was very well done and informative. I grew up in FL and had no idea one of the County namesakes was such a big deal. Highly recommended. 🙌
Flagler Museum is one of the most beautiful places near where I live in Florida and one of my favorite places to visit. You can really experience the history of the Gilded Age inside this mansion, and the scenery around the property is absolutely beautiful. I always bring guests here when they visit because it is such a special and impressive place to see.
Such an amazing home to tour. The docents were very informative and answered all of our questions. The rooms were so beautiful as well! Each was uniquely decorated. There was a small section for fashion during the time period the house was made, a gift shop, and a cafe/restaurant area outside for food. There is also plenty of photo opportunities around the home! Make sure to visit the outside of the property with the waterfront views and the upstairs!
