First Orlando - John Young Campus

Huge. Impressive campus with stadium seating and multiple buildings including coffee/snack area, looks like school/ministry building....Maybe too huge. I'd have to attend a number of services to get a better feel, but churches this big usually go soft of biblical teaching for fear of offending any of the various demographics in attendance. There were certainly a number of 'attendees' who seemed like cultural christians, curious christians...who knows, but many with extremely casual approach to worship...cleaning up i-phone message in front of me....another leaving and returning with beverages...chit-chatting....people casually walking in 10 minutes late... Worship was impressive...loud, contemporary, but not overwhelming or inappropriate. Pastor leans topical rather than expository, but there was a biblical message with scripture...gospel was presented but perhaps too quick a kool-aid feel good pitch.

This church has shifted toward a highly commercialized, entertainment-driven model that feels more like an amusement park than a traditional house of worship. The recent name change dropping "Baptist" seems to reflect a broader compromise of foundational doctrines to attract larger crowds.During my visit, I interviewed several greeters, none of whom could clearly explain the basic gospel message. They openly admitted a willingness to compromise standards just to fill seats. The leadership and staff focus on a casual, pop-culture style that compromises the reverence due to our faith.Even long-term members and Sunday school teachers seem disconnected from what is happening across the ministry. When I asked questions in a long-standing adult class, it was clear that attendees are unaware of, or indifferent to, the secular shift occurring right next door to them.True biblical teaching commands us to be set apart, holy, and focused on a genuine hunger for righteousness. This congregation urgently needs to examine its direction, return to sound doctrine, and seek real repentance.

Yes, I went here to visit the bookstore and I also ate in their Cafe. I met Ginger who works in the bookstore. What a delightful woman of God. She was very polite, very informative, very attentive to our needs in the store. When we asked her questions. She even had conversation with us. Just casual conversation. What a wonderful place to go and visit and then they have chairs and tables outside that you can. Either you know go read or order a meal from the cafe. One of the housekeeping people came when I first drove up and I didn't know where I was going because this was my first visit. She was very helpful. Even though where there was a slight language barrier, we were able to understand each other and she showed me exactly where to go to get to the bookstore. I'm definitely going to recommend first Baptist Orlando just on the fact that their employees are very respectful. I haven't yet visited the church itself but I'm sure that it's got to be a wonderful place. Bye for now

It's not a church that I am a member of. My wife is the member. I been visiting on various occasions for the past 10 years minimum. Every time has always been decent and orderly. The reason for the past event: A baby dedication for my/our first grandson. I been to many baby dedication over my life. This was the first with 30 plus. They performed the dedication with efficiency of a military operation. Depending on the year. Orlando will either be 1 or 2 top tourist destination in the world. If you are in need of a religious service on a Sunday, I don't know their operation hours. I would recommend attendance. Beautiful campus, buildings and sound systems.

A First Baptist Orlando, localizada no número 3000 da S John Young Parkway, é uma igreja que realmente impressiona em todos os aspectos. Tivemos a oportunidade de frequentar tanto os cultos americanos quanto o Núcleo Brasileiro, e em ambas as experiências fomos extremamente bem acolhidos. Os louvores são maravilhosos, com um sistema de som e equipamentos de altíssima qualidade. O ambiente é muito familiar e acolhedor, com espaço dedicado para as crianças e diversas ações voltadas para diferentes públicos, como encontros de jovens, núcleos de estudo, eventos para mulheres, homens e famílias. A organização e o carinho com que tudo é preparado fazem toda a diferença. O local é muito bonito, com uma arquitetura imponente, extremamente limpo e bem cuidado. Há estacionamento gratuito disponível para todos, além de restaurante e, no Núcleo Brasileiro, ainda oferecem café da manhã aos domingos, o que torna a experiência ainda mais especial. Se você está de passagem por Orlando, a visita à First Baptist é altamente recomendada. E para quem mora aqui, é uma bênção poder frequentar um ambiente tão saudável e edificante para ouvir a palavra de Deus. Un lugar maravilloso. Me sentí bienvenido desde el principio hasta el final. El pastor no desaparece después del sermón sino que baja del escenario y saluda. EL SERVICIO DE TRADUCCIÓN NO SUENA MUY BIEN PERO HAY REUNIONES EN ESPAÑOL Y PORTUGUÉS. La reunión empieza en punto y dura una hora.

The Pastor dresses like a ordinary guy. You would definitely not think he was a pastor. The people here are so friendly, if you're single this is the place to go. If you're married and you got kids, this is the place to grow, If you want to feel like a community and get plugged in, this is the place to go. If you are looking for a small group, the ones here are SPECTACULAR. Whatever the need is, Jesus can fill it and uses this body of people to do amazing things. Your a single mother expecting, go to the women's center and they help you out, its the best place to be.
