The Centennial Land Run Monument is truly impressive. Not only because of what it represents — the way people claimed new homesteads — but also because of the incredible bronze sculptures themselves. Each one has such an extraordinary level of detail that, unfortunately, I could not fully capture it in my photographs. The monument makes you feel like a spectator witnessing that very moment in history. You also feel very small standing beside them, because the sculptures are enormous and imposing. If you are in the area, this is absolutely a place worth visiting, not only for what it represents as part of the history of this country, but also for what the artist achieved in creating something so unique.

The Centennial Land Run Monument is still incredibly powerful and impressive 🐎✨ A massive wave of horses and riders frozen in motion — it really captures that sense of momentum and history all at once. Truly a breathtaking sight in person 🤯

A very large, long, and detailed series of bronze statues erected to celebrate 100 years since the land run occurred here in Oklahoma. Plenty of parking nearby so you can walk the area if desired. It can also be glimpsed momentarily from the Interstate if one is looking in the right direction while passing. The sculptures denote the men and women who were lined up and ready to go stake their claim in the last unclaimed area of the United States. The artwork is detailed, the statues larger than life. And when viewing them up close seem to stretch for football field or more in a series of stages. There are a few other monuments and memorials nearby speaking to various issues and themes. We stopped on a cold and windy day which was pleasantly bright and sunny to walk a bit and enjoy the area.

This was really more impressive than I expected. I went out of my way to see this while driving through OKC. The trail path leads to a quiet relaxing peaceful river walk which I really enjoyed. No problem parking but probably because it was a weekday and no one was around.

Impressive series of statues not far from other attractions like bricktown etc.

Incredible monument! The size and detail of these sculptures are breathtaking — it truly brings history to life. This stop meant a lot to me because my family actually participated in both land runs, so seeing it represented so powerfully was emotional and meaningful. It’s peaceful, free to visit, and a must-see in OKC. Great for photos and history lovers alike. Follow my adventures & hidden gem finds: @diamond.in.the.rough.78 🐎📍✨

On a quiet weekday morning, the Centennial Land Run Monument feels almost cinematic. All that bronze motion is frozen in a moment of time along the Bricktown Canal. The whole installation commemorates the Land Run of 1889, when settlers surged into the Unassigned Lands to stake homesteads in what would become Oklahoma Territory. The scale of the installation here is enormous, with dozens of figures charging forward. Horses stretched mid-stride, wagons tilting, every dace carved with urgency. One has clearly fallen in their haste. It really does tell the tale. We had the place mostly to ourselves which made it easy to slow and take in the detail. The only interruption was a family who decided the clearly posted "no climbing" sign was more of a suggestion than a rule and that's why we can't have nice things. Grrr! But even that didn't take away from the artistry. Paul Moore spent more than twenty years bringing this to life and the result is one of the largest bronze sculpture installations in the world, honoring the settlers who raced out on April 22, 1889.
