Rock Springs Park

We just had our wedding here and it was absolutely amazing and beautiful! We used the outdoor fire pit for our ceremony and then the nature center for our reception and it was perfect for our small intimate wedding (we had about 48 people). It was such a great value too, we rented the lodge and fire pit area for the entire day for less than $300 (not including the deposit which we got back after cleaning and turning in the keys.) The natural greenery made for such gorgeous outdoor photos and also reduced the need for extra outdoor decor aside from our arbor and chair sashes. Highly recommend for small events, it was a life and budget saver for us when our original venue booking fell through and I’m actually grateful that it worked out this way because the Nature Center hands down made our wedding unforgettable!

Beautiful park! Well maintained playground, restrooms, and landscape. Paved bike paths, both shaded and open, give plenty of space to enjoy nature. Well maintained wooded paths are kept clear and bring you back to the main (paved) paths, so you can venture without worrying about getting lost (go see the creek!). Giant dog park area with obstacles and high fence. This park has something for everyone and our family loves it.

BEAUTIFUL park tucked away in O'Fallon. My kid and I checked it out on an April Sunday afternoon. She enjoyed the very tall playground and we trekked the walking and hiking trails that surround the center of the park. We walked along the paved path, a trail through the woods, and a path through a grassland- three distinct features of the park, and it only totaled 1.3 miles. I was surprised by how short a distance we went for how much diversity in landscape we encountered. There are trashcans, benches, and birdhouses all along the paved path. This is an ideal park for dog-walking, running, hiking, and walking. Just near the playground is a building (I'm assuming an event space) with a lovely flagstone patio, pergola, and fireplace behind it- though the fireplace was grated and locked. There are also a few scattered park grills. I can't wait to return and explore more of the many hiking trails that divert off the main walking path. Updated note:  My family hosted my mom's birthday party at the Rotary Nature Center in fall 2025 with almost 50 guests.  They allow outside food and use of the firepit for an additional charge.  The space was perfect for our needs- we had two food tables, a cake table, a gift table, 6 tables for dining, a projector and screen, a photobooth, and there was still a little space left for standing and mingling.  One bathroom, a refrigerator, and a microwave.  There were enough outlets to suit our needs.  We decorated the space, so we had lots to carry in and the provided wagons were a lifesaver! One thing to note, you're not allowed to leave firewood at the firepit afterward and you cannot leave it in the woods, so be prepared to carry out.  The provided tables and chairs offer major value as well.  We were disappointed to see there was no dish soap at the sink to wash our dishes with- maybe we missed it?  All in all, this was an excellent space for a party and we will keep it in mind for future use.

I have seen the park & facilities but I stick to the trail system & prairie located around the park. The Scout Loop trail and the prairie offer great views. There are many birds along the trails. My faves are the Barred Owl & Red Shouldered Hawk. I haven't observed many mammals other than the Eastern Grey Squirrels everywhere but, if you like tracking...there are raccoons, deer, & coyote tracks along the trails & creek.

I absolutely love this park. If I get here really early, I don't run into anybody on my hikes. As you can see in the pictures, I like to take the trails in the woods. The paths are very clear, and some of them go on for miles with stairs, bridges, and huge trees to climb over. I love how secluded the trails feel even though I'm not actually that far from the paved paths.

Lovely quiet neighborhood Park with excellent walking trails and a dog park. There is a small playground and lots of wildflowers. My dog and I walk there daily and pray. It's a beautiful, quiet spot with friendly people.

Amazing park with trails and natural scenery. Been here multiple times for family photos, trail walking, and kids playing on the playground. Pavilions, picnic tables, BBQ pits, and public restrooms.
