Delicious food! We got the satay (super juicy) and the fresh spring rolls for appetizers. The yellow curry was super creamy and while we got mild spice, I didn't think it was really spicy. We also ordered the pad see ew with beef and enjoyed it. We had to wait a few minutes when we came at 6PM on a Thursday evening since the place was packed.

Visitor notes
As far as Thai Food goes, this is one of the best places I've ever been to. Everything we ordered was good, but the Honey Ribs specifically were sublime - Flavorful and melt off the bone soft. Our waiter was very friendly, and the food was served impressively quickly. The place is also designed quite traditionally and has a very quaint ambiance. It's definitely a great place if you're in the area and even worth a drive. I'll definitely be coming back to try their other dishes.
Amazing neighborhood gem of a Thai restaurant with an expansive menu that covers both Northern and Southern Thai regions. We enjoyed the sundried pork jerky as an appetizer, with a salty funky fish sauce as a dip. It really woke up our taste buds without being overwhelming. We also shared the spicy calamari sauteed in garlic pepper sauce. We appreciate that they don't hold back on the heat! The menu is quite large and I encourage folks to try things they haven't before.
One of the best Thai food restaurants in the valley! We had the yellow curry and chicken pad thai, both were flavorful and portions sizes are enough to share. The waiters are friendly and the service is quick. The waitress makes great recommendations and if you're new to Thai cuisine you can ask any questions without hesitation. The ambiance is cozy and great for a date night. We went on a mid Sunday afternoon so it wasn't busy but it was quickly getting busy after we arrived. Seems like it could get very busy for dinner since seating is limited but they do have outdoor seating. Parking is in the back but limited as well.
We’ve tried a few Thai spots around the Valley, but Lum-Ka-Naad really stood out. The food was flavorful and authentic, with dishes cooked just right and served quickly. Service was attentive without being rushed, and the cozy vibe makes it a comfortable spot for dinner. A great little restaurant we’ll definitely return to whenever we’re craving Thai food.
Good Thai restaurant in the Valley. We ordered the appetizer sampler which I thought was just ok (the breading was a bit on the thick side) but the rest of the dishes were pretty decent. Our table shared a fried fish, red curry, boat noodles, and pad see ew. The dishes were all well flavored but the mild red curry was basically not spicy at all.
Great food, well seasoned. You could definately taste the flavor of every dish. Love the seafood soup. Chowmein was on the sweet side. Yes, they serve Thai and Chinese food here. First time I went the wait was kinda long which I think is always a good sign so I didn't mind waiting at all. My second trip I made a reservation and was seated right away. Overall great experience.
I’ve been more than patient with this place, and that ends now. I’ve ordered from Lum Ka Naad two to three times a week for months, and the experience has steadily declined. The food is inconsistent to the point that you never know what you’re going to get. One order is decent, the next feels careless and thrown together. That alone is enough to question coming back. But the real issue is how often they get orders wrong and how little they seem to care. Almost every single time there’s a mistake. Missing protein, missing appetizers, incomplete orders. It’s not occasional, it’s a pattern. And what’s worse is that there is never an apology, never any acknowledgment, never any attempt to make it right. It’s as if the burden is on the customer to just accept it. Tonight was the breaking point. They lost my order completely. I showed them the confirmation on my phone and was initially told they didn’t have it. Then suddenly they claimed they did, but now the pickup time had been pushed back more than twenty minutes. When I pointed out that this was a problem, the manager stood there with a blank expression and said nothing. No apology, no explanation, no urgency. When I asked if they could prioritize the order given their mistake, the answer was simply no. That level of indifference is unacceptable. At this point, it doesn’t matter if the food happens to be good on a given day. You’re rolling the dice on whether you’ll even receive what you paid for, and if something goes wrong, you can expect zero accountability. There are too many solid Thai restaurants in Northridge to waste time and money on one that treats customers like this. Take your business somewhere else.
