Charleston Area Convention Center

Free dental clinic held here. There were far too many people than they could handle. We had free WiFi in the hallway, but not in the venue. Bathrooms in the hallway were closed. Waited 10+ hours to get X-rays and complete registration. Had to return the next morning. Very tough conditions.

The Center is okay, but the vendors's tables were so close and needed wider aisles. Overall, I enjoyed my first experience at a Black Expo.

Its been such a long long time since this place opened its doors, and its done nothing but grow into a staple for entertainment in the area. I love this place. Memories are created here, and they are memories that will last forever. I also like nice round booties on medium build women with attitudes, but that's neither here nor there....

The performing arts center is a great place to see a concert. Love the seating and there is no bad views!

This is a horrible conference venue! The ceiling collapsed and the floor and walls had severe water damage. Fans running constantly kept the temperature frigid. There were tiny screens in the conference rooms and no working sound systems. WiFi constantly went out and staff were typically an hour late to troubleshoot their conference equipment. One presenter had to show a room of 100++ attendees their presentation on an iPad! The bathrooms required a trek across the entire facility when they stopped working and only one small passenger elevator was functioning during the 4 days of the conference. I don’t what’s going on with the place but it seems like it’s going under—serious safety concerns 💯

I went and seen Jelly Roll here. This place is awesome. The monster truck show is good too. They have all kinds of concerts and activities.

Attended a conference in the ballroom area. The food served at lunch was good including the sweet tea. Dinner rolls could have been fresher. I liked that banquet tables were set up at 75% capacity so no one sat with back to the stage. Climate was cold. Outside temp was rainy and 60° and the a/c was too cold in the rooms. No available seating throughout the main lobby area if you wanted to rest. A few upholstered benches outside of Rooms C1-C3. Sitting chairs were added after table displays were gone. No available outlets to charge phones in meeting areas. Had a pre-paid charging station. Finally found an outlet in lobby on last day. Ladies bathroom was kept clean but the missing ceiling tiles made me nervous using the facilities. Also the AV equipment and set up were lacking. No microphones in most of the meeting rooms. No lectern with mic stand so had to hold the mic the whole time. Tiny screens for room. No overhead projector. Bad acoustics in rooms. Also constant noise interference from other rooms and corridors.
