Twin Falls Trailhead is a great easy-to-moderate hike and perfect for a relaxed outing. The one-way hike to the falls takes about 50 minutes to an hour, with a short section of gentle elevation gain along the way. The round trip is roughly 4–4.5 km (about 2.5–3 miles), making it very manageable. The forest scenery is beautiful throughout the trail, with lots of tall trees and a peaceful atmosphere. It’s especially suitable for families with kids or anyone looking for a pleasant hike that isn’t too challenging. A Discover Pass is required for parking. Overall, a really enjoyable and accessible trail that I’d happily recommend! 🌲🥾

Gorgeous! The trail is very uneven, so this one isnt good for strollers. However, able-bodied folks will enjoy the Gorgeous old growth forest and dramatic mosses, mushrooms, and flora. The falls are very pretty, the hike has several steep sections that will get you breathing hard and working those legs! We saw lots of spry kids running and jumping ogf of logs and rocks along the way, but the elders will definitely want to bring walking sticks. Several spots were there to step off thw trail and enjoy a pretty view of the water.
My wife and I have been hiking in the PNW for 60 years, but somehow had never done Twin Falls. Today we discovered what we've missed. Twin Falls rates as an easy hike relative to most of the rest in the Snoqualmie Valley. Judging from the sweat and expressions on the faces of the less-experienced hikers, it really wasn't that easy. The are a few, 3 or 4, short climbs that are relatively steep. It is not a dead flat stroll. It gives me some joy to see hikers, younger than my children, gassed half way out. Maybe I'm a cruel old man, but I hope seeing a gray -haired couple, breezing on the trail serves as an inspiration. Try Twin Falls and see what you think. Our Auntie is 92, and I think she'll enjoy this one!
I did this trail for the first time and I absolutely loved it. The path was well-marked and easy to follow, which made the hike really enjoyable. The whole area felt very natural and peaceful. It was a great experience overall, and I would definitely come back again. Perfect spot to disconnect and enjoy nature.
Nice hike, very scenic on the first half. Would not bring young children here. Some parts of the well traveled trail are a little dangerous and must be taken with caution. Saw a few small nettle caterpillars too which are really pokey and would advise avoiding contact. Brought hiking poles for safety since some of the drier parts are more slippery and steep. Most of the trail is maintained and they have built stairs to make it safer and more accessible to foot traffic. Did not see many other hikers after the twin falls viewpoint.
Wow, what a beautiful spot! We did this hike on a sunny weekend morning and were completely blown away by the scenery. The trail itself is a relatively easy, well-maintained walk through a classic lush Pacific Northwest forest. It’s a gentle incline for the most part, making it very accessible for most fitness levels. The payoff is incredible. You get several viewpoints of the different sections of the falls, and the final lower falls viewpoint is powerful and misty – absolutely spectacular. The sound of the cascading water alone is worth the trip. A few practical tips for visitors: 1. Get there early. The main parking lot is not huge and fills up very quickly, especially on a nice day. 2. A Discover Pass is required for parking, so make sure you have one displayed in your car. 3. Wear sturdy shoes. The trail can be a bit rocky and muddy in spots, particularly near the viewpoints. As a visitor to the Seattle area, this was a perfect example of the incredible nature the region has to offer. Highly recommend for a morning outing.
Twin Falls Trailhead is a great spot for an easy hike or run! I completed the round trip in about 1 hour and 30 minutes, but it took me longer because I stopped often to take photos — the views are really beautiful! There’s no clear endpoint on the trail — the actual final point is Bridge #2, but you can’t see the main waterfall from there. The trail is easy, but there are many wet areas, so I recommend wearing comfortable shoes. Sneakers or hiking shoes with good traction work best because the path is uneven and rocky in some places. Lots of people walk their dogs here, so if you plan to run, be careful. Overall, a very pleasant and accessible trail with great views! 🌿📸👟
1/2026 Beautiful trail, variety of stuff to see. Easy parking, parking is limited in front of the entrance but you can always park along the road.
