Norristown Farm Park

We absolutely love the Farm Park. We have not yet participated in any of the activities that they offer. But we feel like the activities they offer are wholesome and appreciated. It's a wonderful spot to walk, ride bikes, bird watch, or just view nature. It's amazing in this day and age that such a nice place is open and free to the public.

After 4 years of living in the area, my love for this local gem has only deepened. The addition of the community garden has been great, the staff and programs they run are wonderful, and the variety of trails is unmatched outside of our neighboring National Park, Valley Forge. Watching the changes throughout the seasons is a particular favorite of mine, and the Story Walk they have for kids is adorable. Big thanks to the staff for keeping everything so beautifully maintained

Nice trails with diverse wildlife and plants. Something new to discover every time I'm here! Great place to walk dogs (on your leash, please!) and meet new people!

Great place to go if you are looking for a leisurely stroll, hike, or place to simply have a picnic. It's free entry and plenty of shade on the hotter days.

One of my favorite spaces on Earth. Beautiful quiet places in nature, with paved paths, and off the beaten track paths. Whatever you choose. There are creeks to listen and watch, or skip stones in, and trails to feel serenely at Peace. Winter, Spring, Summer or Fall. So many great areas for walking and exploring. Just taking in the sights and sounds of nature. They also have some great nature themed educational things going on their FB page for the young and old. So grateful to have a place like the Norristown Farm Park to go.

Great place to walk a dog or go jogging,. Beautiful sunrises, lots of open space, and plenty of different animals Photograph. There is also a mental institution on grounds, Half of the buildings are empty and have not been a kept in years and years, trees growing out of the buildings are festive around Halloween and great for Photography

At first glance does look like a farm. Noticeably different on the Germantown Pike side no corn.   It's looks like green beans. Also the Philadelphia Horticultural Society (PHS) set up with some plants and looks like vegetable garden. The fence around in does attract birds. Towards Whitehall corn was planted. Around the farm park are pave trails for a good workout. There are also some unpaved trails that seem tricky to hike down. Best to go in groups. Park rangers drive by the pave trails and like to wave. Don't forget to wave back. 😀 Although there is a nice picnic area, could not see a restroom. There are some portapotties at the Whitehall entrance. There is so much to see, as the property is vast. Worth Exploring

Such a great place to walk! They have a trail that goes on forever (or it seems lol). They have s creek, wooded areas, benches, and more! It’s such a huge place! It’s so beautiful, I love the scenery and all the birds and plants you see
