Curry fries alone are worth the trip ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Popped in with my husband on a Saturday afternoon and had a great time. The scotch eggs and fried chicken sandwich were both solid, but the curry loaded fries are something else — we’re already planning our next visit around them. Good beer selection too. Bonus points for the staff — the place was packed but we never felt forgotten, even sitting in the corner. Really appreciated that!

My kinda dive bar especially when the happy hour dishes and worth the discount. The chicken sandwich was great, especially the accompanying fries. Cocktails were nicely booze forward and the staff was friendly and attentive. What a fun spot.
I highly recommend the chicken sandwich. 10/10. Drinks were also good. A friend got a glass of wine and it came out in an odd cup but still tasted good. Went on a Friday night so our server was all over the place. Gets very loud past 9pm
Updated 12/29/25: The fries are good. The drinks were fine. I like that they have bag hooks. It was a lively crowd when we came on a Monday evening around 5:30pm. The bartender was rude. I’ve been twice now and not been impressed with the service whatsoever. At one point, I said excuse me, kindly, to get the bartender Derek’s attention, and he literally stuck his finger out to tell me to hold on and said “I’m busy.” With an attitude. It really annoyed me and felt super dismissive. I understand being busy and stressed but there was no reason to take that out on me. He could have handled it differently. First review: Slightly uncomfortable seating, nice waitress last night around 5pm, the bartenders aren’t particularly friendly or hospitable, as in, they barely said hello to me when I sat down and hardly looked at me when we placed our order. Not rude, but definitely room for improvement. The food and drinks were fine and the atmosphere is lively. Cute place for sure.
The drinks (+ selection) were amazing and the atmosphere was fantastic. I was able to get a table but the waitress came off as standoffish and impatient and not very welcoming. That said, the drinks and overall atmosphere made up for it
If I could give 0 stars I unfortunately would. Came here with a group of friends this past weekend and a waitress (Tabatha I now know is her name) took our orders. When it came my chance to order, I requested a very well known drink and just asked to include a splash of liquor in it… I would of course pay the premium for the splash of liquor. You would have thought I cursed the waitress out or said something to attack her character at the look of disgust on her face. She rolled her eyes and with the look of disgust, asked me to repeat the order. I very respectfully repeated the order and she looked at me like I had 10 heads and rolled her eyes again… amongst other things whispered under her breath. I politely said that I was here to have a nice time with my friends and not be judged. Well, she wasn’t very happy I said that and told me to “not make it weird babe” and that she “just won’t serve me then.” Just so it’s clear, I ordered a Hugo spritz and asked to add a splash of vodka. Every other bar I’ve been to I’ve never had anyone, including a server, give me a hard time about this order. However, Tabatha was so so rude and threatened to not serve me when I had done nothing wrong. I was not being disrespectful nor was I extremely intoxicated. I ended up going to the restroom and was very upset and cried in there. I stayed at the bar for my friends - who had eventually gotten my drink for me. I later observed Tabatha taking multiple shots of liquor throughout the evening on the job. That’s not my problem, but maybe it contributed to the rudeness and unprofessional behavior I received. That being said, I hope management can see how this is not appropriate behavior and most certainly not a way to speak to customers…specifically those that haven’t done anything to deserve it. If you visit here and Tabatha is your waitress, please be careful. Sadly, it’s people like this working in well known establishments that are contributing to the downfall of the West Village neighborhood.. realizing it’s not what it used to be.
We loved popping in here for a drink before dinner. The rustic interior inside is great and our cocktails were fantastic! Our bartender was also extremely friendly. All around a great experience, enjoyed the open windows and doors and would love to come back.
Fun small spot with a good cocktail selection in the West Village. I tried the Firm Handshake, Cucumber Gimlet, hot spiked cider, and orange gold. I would not recommend the hot spiked cider because it wasn’t that balanced but everything else was delicious depending on your liquor of preference. The orange gold was pleasant-better than expected and very smooth but not too sweet. People liked the winter chill, which is very mezcal forward. There is Macallan 10 and 12 here but not 15. The crowd skews younger.
