Stunning place. The East Room is the most gorgeous but the entire museum is impressive. The collections are interesting and varied. Definitely look at the current exhibitions to plan your trip. There is also a cafe but I didn’t sit there. The entire museum trip took almost two hours of me exploring at my leisure. Garden is also worth seeing, if only for those beautiful lioness statues! I got advance tickets for when it first opens, 10:30 on a Sunday. Prepare for other people waiting to be let in, but it wasn’t too bad and I was actually the first one in the East Room library so I had it all to myself (minus the security guard) for a few minutes.

Got a free admission by luck 🍀 One of the people at the counter gave me free access after much trouble with paying 🥹 I am a tourist so I was so glad especially this was supposed to be the highlight of my trip. Would definitely visit with my bf nxt time! It's beautiful and worth it. It doesn't take long to clear the whole place though.

This place is a hidden gem for anyone who loves history, books, and unique architecture. The combination of a library and museum makes it a fascinating place to explore. One of my favorite features was the collection of old books and the hidden staircase, which added so much character and charm to the experience. There are plenty of beautiful spots for photos, and every room feels like a step back in time. Whether you're interested in history, architecture, or simply looking for a unique place to visit, this is definitely worth the stop. I enjoyed walking through the exhibits and learning about the history while admiring the impressive collection of books and artifacts. Highly recommend for history lovers, book enthusiasts, and anyone looking for a memorable experience.

Great museum! Loved the indoors renaissance beaux interior and all. The jazz music and everything was super cool too, I went to the free Fridays 5:30pm. I highly recommend the free Fridays because of live jazz music because the first floor is great exhibits. The second floor…..not really tbh (just not my thing)

Went on a Sunday to see the Mozart exhibit - weather was beautiful; no lines or wait time and overall patrons were kind & courteous. Had a great time enjoying the exhibit. Took my time reading and educating myself about Mozart's life - was not rushed or crowded at all for the 1.5 to 2 hours I was there. Overall amazing institution and will definitely be back to explore the rest of the Morgan Library & Museum.

Wow! Been wanting to go here for a while. Great little museum to spend a couple of hours at. He had an EXTENSIVE collection things from around the world. Being in there was like stepping back into the guilded age. Definitely worth a visit.

The Morgan cannot be beat! I love museums but I was on the fence about this one because it's a library. How interesting could a library be? The answer is: VERY INTERESTING! It really is a museum with great exhibits, and the library part is just the cherry on top. The Mozart exhibit was overwhelming! I'll have to go back to really sink my teeth into it as there just wasn't enough time! They've got a nice café, too. The bathroom in the basement was spotless. Cudos to the janitors.

The Morgan Library— “I Have Always Imagined That Paradise Will Be a Kind of Library” As the header says, Borges said it best, and standing inside the Morgan Library, you immediately understand exactly what he meant. New York is loaded with cultural excellence. If you are so inclined you can fill your days with countless galleries, museums, and iconic landmarks…and still feel like you’ve barely scratched the surface. Weakness, thy name is library. ❤️ I have an incredible affinity with books. Libraries are living, breathing sanctuaries. There is something about the smell, the feel, the ancient ritual of knowledge being held in your hands and passed down through generations that stops me cold every time. The Morgan on Madison Avenue is stunning. The layout is intimate but deeply impressive, classic without being overwhelming, and every room feels like it was designed with intention. The rotunda ceiling alone, covered floor to arch in Vatican-inspired murals and painted medallions, is worth the trip. Then you walk into the main library room and your jaw simply detaches. Three tiers of floor-to-ceiling bookshelves behind ornate bronze latticework, stained glass windows, and hand-painted vaulted ceilings inspired by the great halls of Renaissance Italy. I stood there longer than I care to admit. The current Mozart exhibition featuring treasures from the Mozarteum Foundation of Salzburg is extraordinary. And on the way out, a live jazz trio was performing in the glass atrium. Because of course they were. If I ever become obscenely wealthy, I am building a library. This is my blueprint.
