The staff is knowledgeable and genuinely passionate about books, always ready to help you track down exactly what you’re looking for (or suggest something even better). There is plenty of NYC souvenirs that locals will want as keep sake’s. The vibe is iconic NYC, but cozy, full of hidden literary gems just waiting to be discovered. I personally lose track of time when I visit. It is very easy to spend hours here and still not see everything. The cafe has fresh coffee, tea, and baked goods for your pleasure. Truly one of New York City’s most magical spots for book lovers!

Very cute place with a huuuuuge colección of books and not only! The stickers were expensive tho like 5$ for a sticker is too much in my opinion. They had tote bags for 14-28$ depending on the size. Also they had post cards but not really cute ones and poster like in the picture

Such a cool place to visit as a book lover! How I only left with 2 books and a bag is weird! But if u love books, it's a must see

If you love books and games, then this is the place for you. Even though this was my third visit here over the last fifteen years, I am still gobsmacked by the store with its many, many, many book-lined shelves and stacked tables. It is a book lover's paradise! I could have spent hours and hours here, but I had to use some self-control and force myself to leave.

Sooooooo many books. Such great merch! I could have spent hours just looking at all the extras besides books that they had! Loved every minute. Miles of books, notebooks, shirts, cards, and bags! They hold excellent exclusive events, beautiful blind date with a book, friendly staff. It's a must visit for all book lovers!

I just got this latte in my fav place near union sq, strand bookstore! I stopped by for a coffee while missing my friends cat, the kind talented person at coffee shop made me a coffee with a pattern of a cat on it. And made my day… highly recommended!

Super cute totes, NYC Souvenirs, and of course books galore! Definitely stop here, and grab a tea or coffee to sip on while you shop around. The coffee area even has a little place where you can take your picture on a machine, and it prints it out for you
