This is absolutely a hidden gem in NYC and a must-visit coffee spot. Whether you are looking for a cup of hot or iced coffee, caffeine or decaffeinated; this is the place you must go! I have been a coffee-addict for more than 40 years and I am so happy to find this place in the city. I came here for a small cup of hot coffee and ordered today’s brew - organic fair trade Peru. The barista looked like an ordinary college student but he nailed every single cup of coffee he made!! Hot or iced, 10 out of 10!! The coffee was brewed so well balanced , sweet, and elegant. It is extremely difficult to find such good coffee in America. No matter what price tags people sell, you can easily get a cup of plain coffee anywhere. But here at Porto Rico Importing, their coffee is so affordable ($3.30) especially for such a true and high quality of coffee. I also bought two half-pound of South American region coffee beans back home. This place is now bookmarked as my must return place when every time I am back to the city!! Highly highly recommended!! ☕️

If you’re anywhere near Bleecker Street, you have to stop by Porto Rico Importing Co. This place feels like stepping into a piece of New York history. The moment you walk in, the aroma of freshly roasted coffee hits you, it’s incredible. They have an amazing selection of beans from all over the world, and the staff really knows their stuff. I asked for something smooth but flavorful, and they guided me to the perfect choice. You can tell they genuinely care about quality. What I love most is the old-school charm and nothing fancy, just authentic, high-quality coffee at great prices. It’s the kind of place that coffee lovers truly appreciate. Highly recommend if you want fresh beans and a true NYC experience. I’ll definitely be coming back!

Popped into this coffee shop whilst strolling Bleeker St. The smell when you walk in is absolutely amazing 👏 🤩 there is an enormous range of coffees on offer, and you can also grab a takeaway cup from the counter at the back. I tried the iced coffee and it was delicious, if you're in NYC and you are a coffee fan then you have to visit this place for the smell alone.... and make sure you sample the coffee too aa its delicious 😋

Great place ! They sell a lot of different coffee beans and also make coffee to go. They do not have place to sit other than 2 benches outside of the store. In the store aroma of coffee is so good and strong that it’s difficult to go without grabbing a cup of one :)

One of the best smelling shops in NYC, with endless burlap sacks full of roast coffee beans, and their beans are largely quite good. There’s staff that can walk you through choosing the right beans for your tastes, and they also have all of the supplies that you need to brew a good cup. If you’re not a coffee connoisseur, they also have numerous tea offerings. If you show up right when Porto Rico opens at 8am, there’s quite a line for brewed coffee, but no line whatsoever for the roasted beans.

Insanely good coffee here!! Shop smells amazing, prices are so fair for what the market is. Getting a fresh cup in the back is the way to go as they brew a few blends at a time. Such a great spot to get a gift as well!!

This is an amazing place for coffee lovers. I have never seen this many options of coffee in my life. The shop has a huge variety of beans and different blends to choose from. As soon as you walk in, you can smell the fresh coffee. If you love coffee and want to explore different types and flavors, this is definitely the place to go.

Was pretty overwhelmed with the variety of beans available but the staff were very helpful and assisted me in getting the kind of beans I preferred! Have tried using the beans since then and can confirm they really know their stuff. Definitely a must visit for coffee lovers.
