I love this space. It's my second time here and I must say it does not fail to impress. The food is amazing! I came surfing their sunset hours 😍. I had the fish tacos and the Acker bites with a couple of rum punches and thus fabulous frozen peach belllni and Lia my waitress is amazing!!! So sweet and of course if you are down for that 90s vibe music 🎶 this is the spot. Highly recommend!! (I devoured the fish tacos before I took a picture. Yes, they are that good!!! ) slightly edited review the chef brought out his specialty salad 🥗 😋!!!

Yolandah was really nice and welcoming. Rose, our server, was very attentive as well. Both of them made sure we had a great experience. The food, service, and atmosphere were all amazing. Highly recommend for a nice dinner and drinks!

Kanu has an amazing environment with a great vibe. Food is exceptional as well as the drinks. Cierra is an exceptional manager who truly knows how to make a guest feel welcome. From the moment I arrived, she was attentive, friendly, and genuinely focused on making sure I had a great experience. She checked in throughout my visit to ensure everything was perfect, and her warm smile never left her face. Managers like Cierra are a big reason people look forward to coming back. ★★★☆☆Service was genuinely great. The hostess was one of the nicest people I’ve ever encountered checking guests into a restaurant. I’ve been to Michelin-star spots and didn’t get that level of warmth. I really wish I caught her name because she deserves recognition.
The place was definitely vibing around 8pm. There wasn’t a DJ, just a playlist, which would’ve been fine except we heard the same songs three times during our stay. That got annoying pretty quickly.
Food was hit or miss. The wings weren’t for me. I finished them, but only because I wasn’t hungry, not because they were good. The rice and peas were also a bit too soft for my liking. That said, the burger was solid. I usually hate crinkle-cut fries, but surprisingly, they were good.
Drinks were good across the board. One odd thing, they didn’t have the Knicks game on, which felt strange for a Harlem spot.
Overall, I’m not sure I’d return specifically for the food, but the drinks, atmosphere, and service make it worth a visit, especially if they have a DJ next time.

The food was delicious, the drinks were perfectly deviously strong, the waitress was attentive, and the karaoke/music was GREAT! The only challenge was that it was super hot. We didn't feel any fan/AC but we were having such a great time we didn't even notice.
This is the spot!!! You need to check this place out… customer service top tier! Order the mango habanero wings if you love spice and the Rasta Pasta is on point. You will see me again
