This tour was AMAZING! Robin was a fantastic tour guide. She gave us a wealth of knowledge and took us to 6 different local spots for generous samples, two of which we sat down & ate. Needless to say we were stuffed by the end of the tour. Some of our favorites were the freshly made cannolis, fish tacos & mac & cheese. We found so many local gems that we will return to again. We also got to take our picture in front of the Friends Building. Thank you Robin for a wonderful tour!!!
This tour was really fun, Cindy did an amazing job. I loved all of her comedic jokes and timing. She was very knowledgeable about the Greenwich neighborhood history. You can tell she takes a lot of pride in what she does. If you ever have a chance to take this tour, you are in for great time. Even with the rainy weather she kept the tour entertaining. There were a lot of great stops along the way and amazing foods. 100/10 would recommend.
Many moons ago, I worked at a restaurant in the West Village that was part of one of these food tours, handing out small plates to guests along the way. Years later, after living in different countries, raising a child, and eventually finding my way back to New York, I decided to take the tour for fun.
It ended up being a wonderful experience. Not only was the food fantastic, but I learned so much about my own city, things I had never known despite calling New York home. Our tour guide was kind, thoughtful, knowledgeable, and genuinely attentive to everyone in the group, making sure each person felt included and engaged.
Our team of 40 had THE best time with the Original Greenwich Village Food Tour! Robin was my group’s guide, but all three of our group guides were amazing. The stops we made for food tastings were delicious and learning the history behind the shops was really cool. This tour company is so professional and Robin was just the best - so engaging, funny and knowledgeable. Highly recommend them!
We went on a Greenwich Village tour. It was the first, but definitely not the last time I will go on one of their tours. We all had so much fun. I played tourist for the day, being the only person who was born in NYC.
We tried such great food. It was a lovely, sunny day, got to know new friends, and visit places I never knew existed.
We saw where Taylor Swift stayed for 6 months, and where so many other famous people lived in th Village. Out tour guide was so knowledgeable.
Foods of NYTours was a fun walkabout in Greenwich Village on Mother’s Day. We had a large selection of delicious meals, some more than just “tastings.” Butter chicken/basmati rice/chocolates/margherita pizza/house made pasta and tiramisu were all amazing! Our guide, Rick, made the walk enjoyable and filled us with information along with the food. Be sure to arrive hungry!!
This was my second time booking with Foods of NY, and all I can say is how truly amazing they are. I am president of our Culinary Student Association at The Academy of Culinary Arts, and we took the Original Greenwich Village tour with our fantastic tour guide Robin. Robin was incredibly kind and shared so much information during the tour. Our group had 20 people, which can be challenging to manage, but she handled it like a pro and was very accommodating the entire time. We had one of our chefs in a wheelchair, and Robin was so helpful and made it easy for us to walk through the tour comfortably. Thank you to Foods of NY for another incredible experience, and we are already planning to come back again.
We did 5 different tours while in NYC and this was by far the best! This not only was a great way to taste some of the best things Chelsea Market had to offer, but Joe did an amazing job sharing the history and culture of this area. Would highly recommend and will definitely book again when back to the city!
