Excellent food. Excellent service. Brunch was very good. Loved my dessert. Clean restrooms. Enjoyed our visit. However, misplaced my gloves. I had to ask twice if someone would help me look for them. I would would have made this a five star experience. If you find my winter, women leather gloves, please let me know

Yummy breakfast! Meals are divided (breakfast, brunch, dinner) and time schedules are strictly enforced. The Pain Perdu (French toast) and Croque Madame were amazing (the croque madame might even be the best I’ve ever tried so far). Unfortunately, I wasn’t a big fan of the food I ordered from the brunch menu (Chelsea Burger/Cheeseburger and Poulet Paillard) and thought they just tasted okay. Service was great; servers were both hospitable and funny. I hope to try their dinner menu for some of the other popular dishes next time.

Nice ambiance, a bit pricey, but the potatoes were delicious! I also got fresh orange juice which was so yummy. I heard they had matchbooks here so I asked the hostess who said they didn’t have any but I asked the waiter and he brought some out for us mid lunch.

I was glad that I could get salmon, eggs and green veggies for breakfast. When there are events at The Hotel Chelsea, the place really gets full and it would most likely be impossible to book a quiet meeting room for a separate meeting before attending events. If you try to join a conference call at 7AM at the hotel lobby, the noise coming from the street cleaning truck will make it difficult to hear the other party, but for a teleconference that is just a little under an hour, the cafe would be a perfect place for that. The cafe is very specious and you can get a seat far away from other people. You would have to wait for your food and drink to come anyway, so you won't have to worry too much about staying there too long when you are in a meeting. It would have been perfect if the cafe was open before 7AM, ideally 6AM.

I had dinner here on Tuesday night. We were greeted at the front door by the manager who was extremely professional and polite. The interior is very well designed! Tuna tar tar was delicious. I also had the Dover sole which was prepared in the traditional French manner. Highly recommend this lively restaurant!

They’ve done a wonderful job renovating the Hotel Chelsea and the newly added bars and restaurants continue that excellence. We had a fantastic holiday meal here with tons of delicious apps entrees and desserts. The cocktails were on point and we had a night cap at the lobby bar. Can’t wait to return. This place is young chic and vibrant but with old world charm. I see them going strong for years to come!

Kind of classy, According to the American standars, really nice and profesional service, the place was packed and the tables for 2 ,are way too close to each other to like less than 10 inches apart, so l felt like I was into the 2 noisy ladies conversation next table. Food was good and prices good to for such a let's call it socially landmark.

Let’s talk about the good things The hostess with long brown hair was gracious and my waiter from South Africa… Sabelo?… was very good. On seating I was placed in a seat where when you slid into the booth My rump actually touched the table next to me. I apologized to the two women and after I got situated they even commented on why was that even a seating arrangement. It was stupid, poor planning, and unhygienic. Luckily they were sweet about it. I almost offered to pay for their check because we were do so close I heard every word they said. Oddly as they said, there were empty seats. Empty when I sat and empty when I left. Sad and strange. I could over hear the large table next to me. They were celebrating something and were just having fun but their comments on food items and quality were hysterical. Even a lot of alcohol can’t improve mediocre food. I asked what were the two best sellers. I ordered the croque madam. From my very first bite I knew something was off putting about this classic French dish- IT WAS THE HAM. You know that ham in the precut deli section where the ham is cut in rectangles and is basically tasteless except for the salt content. 26$ for cheap sliced boiled ham sandwich. P l e a s e. I work for a huge mass communication company and since I live close by I like meeting people here for drinks at this iconic hotel. I had never eaten here. Thank goodness the client I was supposed to meet was stuck at St Barts. Oh well. But this way I learned that meeting here for drinks was ok but for food maybe nought. I did order a French martini which the waiter recommended. It was good. Good enough that I almost ordered a second one. I am like an ambassador for 23rd st and CHELSEA. I want businesses here to flourish no matter if it’s for a Great hot dog at Chelsea Papaya, baked goods at Big Booty or Taco Bell, I want our neighbor hood to be the best it can be. Maybe I was there on an off day and they didn’t get their regular ham ordered. But do ask for SABELO. He could easily work at Balthazar or Pastis or Shukette or PORTALE. ALSO THE HOSTESS WAS Miss Congeniality. Go for drinks!
