I had a great experience test driving and purchasing a folding bike here. The test drive policy was generous and it really helped me figure out that the bike I was riding was right for me.

My dad has a Brompton from before my time, back when I was not yet number one dog. It got old and dirty. He brought it here and they made it look brand new, and he was so happy. When my dad is happy I get extra treats, so really they did this for me. I am a small dog with short legs, so I ride up front in a bag like a gentleman, and now the bag rides on a clean bike.

A neighborhood gem. I came in pretty clueless, and they set me up completely with everything I needed. Sam and his team went above and beyond to suggest and install new pedals and other accessories. They also managed to build my bike in record time despite a manufacturer shipping mishap, and taught me that unlike a motorcycle, that the right brake is NOT the front brake on a bicycle! P.S. - they may know a thing or two about fast red Italian bikes!

Terrific shopping/buying experience. Good bike equipment (shoes, helmets, bikes) is not inexpensive, so you want to choose wisely. Which makes having knowledgeable, honest, assistance essential. Shout out to Robert, who k owes his stuff, is patient, and really seems to want to help, as opposed to just make any sale. If you are looking for a bike, or accessories, give this shop a try. I expect that you will not be disappointed.

I brought my bike into another repair shop that morning with issues in both tires and needing a kick stand. The man was adamant that my tires just needed “pumped up” even after I explained how they are flat consistently after every ride. Bicycles NYC listened to my concerns and discovered I did in fact need a new front tire and replaced both (to match), got me a new kickstand and lock for a great price! Kind and helpful staff and my bike looks GREAT and rides PERFECTLY!

Overpriced bike shop 😔 I’m disappointed because the latest reviews were all saying good things. Went in to get my bike tires replaced. They quoted me the tire cost ($42) and labour cost ($20). I just looked it up on Amazon and the same tires cost only $30. I don’t like doing bike maintenance so I don’t mind paying someone else to do it for me but they ended up charging me more than the quote because the tube also had an issue (I’m no expert in bikes but I pumped these tires the night before and went for a 40 miles bike ride right before bringing it into the shop and had no issues with the tube so I’m really surprised by this). I also later read some of the reviews and other people also experienced paying more than their original quote. What’s the point of a quote if it’s not guaranteed? Can’t help but feel like I was ripped off 😩 Just hope the new tire will last a while to make it worth the replacement cos I also read one customer had an issue 4 times with a tire replacement here 😢 Update: Got a flat on the new tire 2 weeks later so downgrading from ⭐️⭐️ to ⭐️. I took my bike back in and they gave me a spare tube (to compensate I guess) but didn’t seem too friendly or understanding about it otherwise. Almost made it seem like it was my fault even though I’m still traumatized about getting that flat cos I was going down a really steep hill so could have ended up in a bad accident. Maybe it’s just me but this shop is just full of surprises and none of it is good 🥲

Great experience! I had very specific requests for my bike builds they always make sure to get right. Originally built my wife’s brompton up from extra parts i had and did an amazing job. Also appreciated their keeping me updated through text & photos. Friendly, knowledgeable with excellent service-our go to shop.

This is now the only place I'll bring my bikes for maintenance and repair, even though it requires a crosstown trip. I trust Sam, Shane, Beth, Rob, and William to keep me rolling. The mechanics are unfailingly competent, the prices are fair, and the shop is a nice place to be.
