lots of fun! the tubes are a good large size (we were able to fit 2 coolers in 1) and comfortable to hang in, and the float down the river is beautiful. life vests are free to use. if you want to keep your tubes grouped together you might want to bring a rope or something that you can use to attach the handles together.

Prices aren’t too bad. They store your keys for you when you float. If you’re going on a rainy day, just know that if there’s lightning, you’re not going anywhere. They made us wait 30 minutes after they saw lightning strike before we could buy tubes. We waited a total of about an hour and a half in the pouring rain before they let us out. Water was a little dirty & currents were STRONG. One of us had our tube flip twice and be lost everything. Poor guy. I had so much grass in my swim suit, it was insane. Honestly one of my coldest experiences ever. Try to make sure it’s not raining before you go because the water is freezing and it wasn’t sunny. Still a super fun time though no doubt.

Awesome experience! Family friendly everyone friendly place. Aside from the parking this experience was great! I recommend you take your own floaty only because the ones they offer you are all for advertisement. If you don’t mind floating with a bbq advertisement go for it! Personally I like to take my own. I won’t spoil the experience you just have to take my word for it this river was awesome when we went the end of June. It was like a four hour experience although I’ve been told depending on the fullness of the river it can take one to two hours. Only take reusable containers and drinking dishwater no disposables basically no paper or recyclable water bottles plates exc.. . It is kid friendly I just think it is a little crowded for toddlers more like for teenagers and up in my opinion. You can lose your group real easy in some parts. It was fun I had a real great time go try it out!

Easy to use … really no need to rent a cooler. They topple out in the chutes. Great short floating, about 3.5 hours. Bring a drink for each person in a small tie up cooler or bag and your set. Don’t forget ropes or bungees if you want to stay with your group. Multiple places to get out and swim in the clear water. We had a great time during the week with a 7 and 10 year old. Shuttles come at the end frequently so we didn’t have to wait long.

We went on a Wednesday in June and the parking lot up front had plenty of space at 10am. The cost was $25 per person. The tubes are brand new, their buses are well maintained, their bathroom and changing rooms are clean. They keep your ID and car key up front so you do not have to stress. It was the most perfect and serene day.

Texas Tubes is a 10/10 experience every single time. We live in New Braunfels and have gone more times than we can count, and it never disappoints. Their military discount makes it an even better value, and it’s absolutely worth using their service over and over again. If you want a relaxing float, I highly recommend going first thing in the morning. Arriving at opening time means easy parking and long stretches of the river practically to yourself. When friends visit us, this is always one of the first places we take them. If you prefer a more lively crowd, head out later in the day on a weekend. There’s always something to see—people playing music, groups celebrating everything from bridal showers to graduations, and just an overall fun, energetic vibe. Overall, Texas Tubes is a must‑do whether you’re a local or visiting. We’ll keep going back.

It was a super fun float. The restrooms are well kept and I really enjoyed that the shuttle was running and provided with the price. However, it was upsetting to find out that I was only able to go down river once. For the price I assumed I would be able to go multiple times, but I had to pay $15 extra to go again.

I've only floated from this location for the past 20 years: I moved here, found Texas Tubes, had a great time and have always come back to this spot every summer since! Love it!
