We recently visited the Castle of Muskogee for the Renaissance Fair. We had an absolute blast dressing up and attending. We came as a group of 3 and there was something for each of us to do. We all especially enjoyed running around and solving the riddles for the kid's quest. It was really cool once completing the quest for the children to attend a ceremony and go through differnt "classes" that taught about the Renaissance era. From dancing to food to music and armory, there was a lot for them to learn and be interactive in. Upon completion they were awarded a waxed sealed diploma and could take photos with Queen Elizabeth. Our other favorite thing was, of course, witnessing the jousting show. But they're was soo many other shows happening that were great to watch as well. Lots of skilled artisans everywhere. I personally love the pirate museum and it's a must visit during the festival! I will say, it felt like a complete waste of time and money to order food from anywhere here. We wasted an hour and a half on food that was terrible and disgusting. So we know next time not to order anything "brisket" related. Other than that, we had an excellent time. Overall, we cannot wait until next year's Renaissance Festival so we can partake in all of the fun.

Visitor notes
I attended the Muskogee Renaissance Festival at the Castle of Muskogee and it was awesome. And they have a castle that you can go in and enjoy different festivities. The best part is that it has a c so when you're there on a hot day you have a place that you can cool off. The parking was easy although you are waiting in line to get to a parking spot. It seems like quite a bit of the parking is nestled beneath the trees which makes it nice to have some shade on your car. The grounds itself were absolutely delightful. I enjoyed seeing all of the variety of buildings designed to look like a town. Each one with a unique flair and adding to the ambiance of the Renaissance Festival which is enhanced with all of the actors and people working the Fair. The walkways and roads between the villages are somewhat narrow so when you have tons of people there it does feel very crowded. They have a few little off the beaten path areas that you can wander around and find other hidden little gems. It provides a really great experience.
We attended the Oklahoma Renaissance Festival and had a great experience. This was our first time at the castle and it lived up to the positive reviews. Everyone we encountered made us feel welcome. The food we sampled was delicious and fresh. The chocolate dipped cheesecake was a favorite. The joust cast put on a terrific show. Plenty of places to sit for a few minutes. Enough restrooms and places to refill your water bottle. Admission was reasonable. We opted for the “VIP” parking to save some steps and that was also worth the money. Looking forward to our next visit.
I attend at least once a year... Lots of unique items, lots of different foods, costumes are fantastic, people are super friendly easy going. The castle is super cool with lots of little buildings set up outside of it like a town... The arena has a jousting match and the birds of prey show... There's glass blowing, A blacksmith, each weekend for this event has a different theme... The cave is a little pub that puts on great shows. Plenty of outdoor shows throughout things for all ages
I have freely giving a piece of my heart to this festival. I live in Northwest Arkansas. My cousin asked me to do her hair and make up for her wedding. Just a 2hr drive and plenty of hotels in the area. Of course I said yes drove over the day of the wedding. Did the brides hair in two Dutch braids with low bun. Her son was a wizard and performed the ceremony. Her daughter and friends were elves. I did their hair in twists and braids with long extensions and elf ears. The ceremony was held in the Chapel. It was so romantic and fantastical. That was in 2018. I have so enjoyed in the revelries. The actors, actresses and staff are so kind and inviting. Make sure to check out all the Quest and Side Quest.
My D&D group have been the last 2 years for the fantasy weekend. It's always amazing! Seeing all the costumes, the sword fighting, and jousting is awesome! It is also cool to watch the blacksmith, glass blowers, and other old time craftsmen creating stuff! I definitely recommend going and its even better if you go in costumes!
Can't wait to come back! Amazing first time there! We walked 5 miles and still probably didnt see all the shops and stores, I really loved how immersed it made you feel! Lovely cast members and great food!
This was our first year at the Oklahoma Renaissance Festival and boy was it amazing! Definitely a two day visit couldn't get it all in one day. Cash is King, dont forget your id if you wanna use your card or drink. I suggest showing up early it gets really busy later in the day. Have fun!
