Our guide, Louie, made the Mist, Mayhem & Murder Monterey Ghost Walking Tour such a fun experience. He was incredibly entertaining, high energy, engaging, and very knowledgeable, and he really brought all of the ghost stories to life from start to finish. The tour flew by because we were having such a great time, and it was the perfect length with an easy, enjoyable walk through Old Town Monterey. It’s such a unique way to learn about the area’s history, and I highly recommend it 10/10. And hey… if you’re lucky, you might even spot something eerie at the jail like we did!
I booked this tour with “extra time for more tales” before arriving to Monterey, when I arrived last night, I was the only one. Louie gave me a private ghost tour. He is very animated, knowledgeable of the area and of ghost stories and kept me interested for the whole 1.5 hrs. I highly recommend booking a tour and requesting him. I’m going back to some of the places we visited when they are open during the day. Thanks again, Louie, for a nice evening of ghost tales!
We booked a tour as a last minute spontaneous trip right when we arrived in Monterey. Our guide, Louie (not sure if I’m spelling it right, sorry!) was so knowledgeable and engaging. We got the $7 extended tour and he took us to a few other spots after the main tour which was so worth it. The dedication he has to the job and history of Monterey was above and beyond and really made the experience such a joy. He deserves a raise!!
After a bit of a rocky start, a little miscommunication within the company, we had an amazing time! Our guide Corey did everything she could to make up for the late start, she was very engaging and enthusiastic. We liked her immediately!
We would recommend this tour, it’s the perfect walk around Monterey and packed with fun facts about the history!
Louie was great. Lots of knowledge and answered all the questions we asked. It was a small intimate group, so lots of good energy. Even caught a few orbs!
The Monterey Ghost tour is so much fun! My family did a ghost tour in June, and when we stopped back in Monterey in December, we did another tour. We learned things about California history that aren't in some history books.
Overall great experience!! Our host was very animated, personable, and knowledgeable. We went in not knowing what to expect and ended up really enjoying the tour. I like that there are many locations/ stories so if we return to Monterey and book the tour again, we will have a whole new experience. Thank you for a fun and unique evening!
We chose the 8 PM tour, which made it all the more enjoyable because the sun had just set, and gave a spooky touch. Walking wasn’t difficult and we didn’t get to go inside of the different site, but Louie our tour guide did recommend coming back during the day at early mornings if we wished. The tour as a whole was very informative and entertaining! For the costs it was well work it.
