We have been going to The Works for years and it changed a lot sometime in the last two years since my last deployment. It has a space that is easily monitored to allow your children freedom to play without having to be with them. There are now design signs per station to assist children in building and trying different things before being creative on their own. These help them visualize and understand what is possible to build from. The House area is "new" and makes trade experience practical to the your builder. Essential services for a society. Many ways to explore legos. The car rCe track is better with the hill as an extra challenge. I miss some of the old exhibits. There aren't really places for parents to sit and observe. The is a small linear sitting area for snack but no vending machines or anything to facilitate snack. Bathrooms are mostly single stall non gendered to avoid any side of the argument. There are two restrooms for families though.

The workers here are very nice. The museum itself is quite small, much smaller than it appears from the outside. I was trying to find a place to let my toddler burn off some energy, and a review had mentioned their toddler enjoying the blocks, but honestly if you have a kid under 2, and no older kids, I wouldnt come here for them. This space is great for older kids, which is awesome, and you can make it work for a toddler, but dont come solely for a toddler. What is really nice though is 2 and under are free, so for one adult and one toddler its only 14 bucks. This mean for my purposes of winter road trip energy burning it was a cheap indoor option that wasn't in Minneapolis. Older kids interested in engineering type things will have an absolute blast here

Very thoughtful and engaging concept. In other words - great idea. However, it needs a face-lift and more maintenance. It's a hands on kid experience; so it gets rough and tumble use. But most things looked and worked like the originals since opening. My suggestion is to charge $3-$5 more per entry and use that money to upgrade and do maintenance. I saw only one person working there on a Monday and he was very pleasant. But they need at better care of place, fix the broken and worn stations to make it a real hit. Right now it's a hit and miss experience. Btw, review 8 months ago said pinball machine was broken. It's STILL broken 8 months later.

My grandson (6) had a blast here. We loved the self-directed hands-on activities. His favorites were wiring up the house and adding framing. Great fun. We spent a good part of a rainy Saturday here. The two of us enjoyed watching the huge K’Nex ball machine do its thing.

Hands on one story museum for kids. Some attractions, like the kinex ramp and the make your own Pinball machine were broken. Seems pricy for 13 per person for what you get out of it. Somewhat ada friensly

A very fun museum for kids. We brought two 6 year old who happy played 11-3ish. Bathrooms are small single occupancy walk-ins with plenty of room for a parent to join. There is no food available to purchase, though you can bring snacks to and eat them on benches near the coat area. Signage wasn't super easy to see from the direction we came. It's a little chilly in winter, do pack a sweater if you get cold easily.

This place is really cool and there is a ton of interactive fun science and engineering types of things to do. We did not attend any of the classes well we were there, but had a lot of fun. We spent about an hour and a half here and I don't know if we would have been able to spend more time there unless we went to a class or if you came with multiple children so they could run and play and build together. This place is not huge so don't expect a ton but there are a lot of individual stations you can visit and interact with. 4 stars Because it could use some more stuff to do and see

Just went there today and had a lot of fun. Good for many ages and the new house segment was very enjoyable. They have a Lego wall where you can make Lego pictures and leave them there. There is a large Lego picture wall where you can see the picture and then try to make it using a battleship style grid. They have a marble coaster that took 6 MONTHS to make. There is a secret event every 15-30 minutes at the marble coaster(you will know it when you see it). There is a knex racer builder at which you can build a car/8 wheel blob to race down the track. Member ship was 25 for 3 people and you get student discounts if in a certain school and grade. Have fun!
