Pabst Mansion

A spectacular mansion in Wisconsin! Beautiful on the outside and stunning on the inside with great artwork, antique furniture, and deep history. The tour is highly educational, informative, and allows photos and videos. I visited with my 5-year-old son and it was a smooth experience; even he enjoyed it! Totally recommended!

This is a really neat place to visit. We had a marvelous tour guide (Maura, I believe). There are 14 fireplaces, 10 bathrooms, huge rooms, and lots of interesting original artifacts. Not all of the mansion is accessible, but you really won't care! For the time period in which it was built, the decor and design was WAY ahead of it's time. Impeccable and detailed woodwork (even the ceilings) and decor!

Ken was a terrific guide-- full of great information about the mansion, but also funny and engaging. Time flew as we covered the rooms on 3 floors of the mansion. It was fascinating to learn about the Pabst family, Milwaukee history, and details about this beautiful crafted house. Ornate woodwork, secret cabinets, original furniture and artwork, speaking tubes, restoration stories and much more. We would have never fully appreciated the mansion without such unique details. Thank you!

This Pabst mansion tour was worth it. The tour guide was very knowledgeable and explained everything in great detail. I would recommend this tour if you visit Milwaukee.

This place is a truly special piece of American history 🇺🇸✨, and I’m so glad it was preserved instead of being demolished. It easily could have been replaced by yet another bland modern building or just a parking lot 😕—which would’ve been such a loss. Walking through it feels like stepping back in time, and you can really sense its historical importance 🏛️. It’s absolutely worth taking the time to visit ⏳👍. If you want to deepen the experience, I’d also suggest checking out the Pabst Brewery tour 🍺—it adds another layer of context and tells a bigger story. You’ll learn how things like corporate mergers, greed, and private equity decisions have impacted and, unfortunately, contributed to the decline of another iconic American brand 📉💼. Overall, it’s both fascinating and a bit eye-opening—definitely a place that leaves an impression and makes you think 🤔💡.

I visited this historic house, and I loved the tour. Visit during Christmas, if you haven't already visited, you'll be surprised by this house, its architecture and furnishings, which, like everything else, are still in good condition. And you can visualize what Wisconsin Avenue looked like in those years.

An incredible time visting a part of our past. Our tour guide, a retired social studies teacher, started by saying that architecture can teach us a lot about history. She then spent 90 minutes sharing so much about the history of the house, her inhabitants, and the time and place that was Gilded Age Milwaukee.
