t was AWESOME! This place gets your mind going and your body working! Everyone had a blast with so many activities to do! Family passes available and discounted income pass as well. Such an amazing opportunity for everyone, big and small it's so worth it. You learn so many new information on how things work around us. History that we never knew. Lots of facts and information to learn not just for children but for us adults as well! We are able to understand many facts on machines and wild life. The aquarium is very special and very relaxing. Watching all types of fish swimming and observing how they move is quite interesting and peaceful! They have stingrays you can touch gently. From turtles to the newly added aquarium tunnel was wonderful. Poisonous sea reef was interesting and seeing a piranha was fascinating! It was very manageable walking around. You get to learn about the Great Lakes and see how water and wind effect it. The elevators or wide so no one is crowded nor feeling claustrophobic! Ample garage space but maybe a little too close parking next to each other. We struggled with having a suv and Very tight parkimg spots. Some cars were way too close to others so a little uncomfortable. Forsure the cafe closing before the hours of Discovery are completely closed was a let down! Hungry and thirsty we were left looking at closed doors. Overall we enjoyed this wonderful opportunity to gain knowledge on so many things was great.

Very cool place. Expensive, but a lot to do and see - could spend a whole day here. We came with a 16 and 14-year-old and had a good time with alll the leaning and experiments. Mostly came for the aqaurium which did not disappint.

I went on a field trip to the Discovery World with our school, and it was truly such a great experience! Be prepared for lots of walking, the place is huge. It would be helpful if they offered small maps for first-time visitors because it can feel a little confusing to navigate at first. That said, the aquarium was very cool! I absolutely loved how interactive each section and activity was. It’s definitely worth the price point. The kids had an amazing time in every area. Even though we went on a busy day, there was more than enough space for everyone to feel comfortable and really enjoy each exhibit. It encourages creativity and hands-on learning, which I appreciated so much. It’s truly a must-visit. And I have to compliment the location, the aesthetic is phenomenal. The Lake Michigan views from the building are beautiful! We took a bus, so I’m not sure about parking, but going with the school made everything easy, organized, and very welcoming. I definitely plan to visit again soon with my family.

We visited for Gross Out Day. My kids were practicing screaming with excitement. They're ages 5 and 7. This seems to be a good age - they were old enough to appreciate the hands on stem exhibits and the aquarium. Their favorite part was the screen where you can come a page, scan it, and see your picture (bees on the day we visited) come to life on the big screen.

Absolutely incredible place to visit with kids! This museum has more hands-on exhibits than I’ve ever seen. Some of the highlights are: -A huge model of the Great Lakes with controllable weather. -Models of simple machines like levers and pulleys which are all controllable. -Cutaway engines with hand operated gears. -A Tesla coil with electricity you can touch!!! -Pneumatic powered rockets and cars. -VR booths -A mechanical flip-board which you can both submit a drawing to be featured and can control with your body! -A flight simulator. And, it was only after lunch we discovered there was a whole underground aquarium with gorgeous freshwater fish. We were able to touch stingray, sturgeon, and lobster! There appears to be an observation deck for events which looks out onto a beautiful view of Lake Michigan. We also spied an incredible maker-lab (think Myth-Busters) but it appears this is only for school groups (or perhaps it’s only open to the public on certain days). Overall, this is an incredible place people with kids should travel to see. WOW!!!

It's a very cool interactive museum! its focused around Milwaukee/Wisconsin/the midwest aquatics and weather But they're so much to do here! Personally the aquarium side is my favorite, some of the cutest/coolest animals and it seems like they take good care of them! It has a little bit of everything and Their reef tank is getting a upgrade. The science section is also very interesting but a little more based for younger ages. It's nice they also provide free things like some of the science machines build things they allow you to keep for free, free experiences like a VR and a driving simulator along with many spots for free coloring pages! Many places where you can simulate experiences, learn, see things from different views here so its great so all ages and people! its a great date spot aswell. Its a unique building as it sits on the lake, next to summerfest, lakeshore state park & the Milwaukee art museum all in walking distance! Bathrooms, food court, gift shop and more! We went on Martin Luther Kind Day and it was a little crowded but Definitely still walkable and didn't miss out on experiences!

This is a great place with to go visit with your family on a weekend or weekdays. If you are disabled they have wheelchairs. There are a lot of interested displays. They have a huge model of Milwaukee including Allen Bradley clock Tower. There are big displays with many different kinds of fish and turtles. There is a place where children can stand on the steps and touch surgeon and stingrays this is very fun but the water is a little cold. It also offers a great view of the lakefront and a little cafe where you can go buy burgers drinks and snacks. And a gift shop stuffed animals, jewelry, and a variety of other merchandise.. my daughter and her best friend got matching bracelets with stingrays on them and I got a stingray plushie for me and my son. A very enjoyable time. I would highly recommend it to people visiting Milwaukee or families looking for something to do on the weekend or days off of school.

A lot of this is clearly meant for slightly younger kids but I spent the day here with two 13 year olds and they had an incredible time. We spent most of our time in the aquarium, which really IS the best in the state. There are three touch tanks, a walk through tank, the two story sturgeon tank and a variety of habitats and smaller tanks that had us back there three times for several hours. Then of course they also had a blast with all the exhibits. A very good place to go for the curious and the playful.
