Trevor Zoo at Millbrook School is truly a hidden gem... I’ve lived in the area for a while and had no clue it was here. We made the trip and it was worth it. The zoo is a really good size- way bigger than we expected.... You can easily spend a few hours walking the paths, watching the animals, and exploring everything at your own pace. It’s on the cheaper side compared to most zoos, which makes it even more of a win. They have a great mix of animals, including quite a few endangered species you don’t usually get to see up close. Both adults and kids had a great time learning, wandering, and just soaking it in. There’s a cute little gift shop at the end, too, we left with souvenirs. Parking was super easy ...a short, flat walk to the zoo entrance and we went on a day where it almost felt like we had the place to ourselves. No crowds, no rushing, and plenty of space for kids to just enjoy without feeling overwhelmed. We didn’t buy tickets ahead of time this time, but we will next time just to be safe. All in all, a 10/10 spot for families, animal lovers, or anyone looking for something low-key, educational, and outdoors. We’ll definitely be back!

The Trevor-Lovejoy Zoo is such a wonderful gem. While not an overly large zoo, it's small size gives it a peaceful atmosphere that's wonderful to sit and appreciate the beautiful animals.

This Zoo is so unique and amazing! Hear of it a couple of years ago, and finally visited...free parking was ample, clear signage how to get to the main building...only a short walk to the main building. Once there, you check in (highly suggest you reserve online prior to visit...you can walk-in, but there is a short registration process you gave to go through at a PC kiosk) and you are on your way! Most of the animals are in outdoor enclosures. Lots of shade throughout if concerned about those hot days. Some animals indoors, too. The pond just in front of the main building is really nice. Multiple areas throughout to sit at a bench or tables/chairs. It is not a big zoo, but the animals but what animals they follow have ....come all areas of the world! Wallabys, lemurs, turtles, arctic fox, multiple types of owls and snakes, too...and the swan and heron, too!! The paths are easy to navigate, all paved. The map they provide is clear, easy to read. The area is well maintained, will be back! Enjoy this hidden gem in Upstate NY!

Small zoo run by high school students. A good mix of animals from across the world.

A fantastic place to bring young kids. The Trevor Zoo has a really nice variety of animals, including those who are on the endangered species list. The zoo is small compared to many of the larger zoo's which makes it really great for young children. The staff is always friendly and the exhibits are well maintained. I live relatively close by and try to visit regularly as it is a great place to see and learn about animals that you will not get to see in the wild in the Hudson Valley area.

The kids enjoyed walking the trail but we didn’t see much. I think we missed part too because I never saw a sign for the red panda. We must’ve showed up at nap time 🤷‍♀️

Went this past weekend and the kids had a great time! Many of the animals were taking shade but loved seeing the otter, emu, and horned owl!! Great place and affordable family day!! Proceeds help keep this local zoo affordable, can you imagine the zoo is apart of a school?? Beautiful
