A great place to take a nice quiet hike through nature. Lots of well kept trail options from easy to challenging. If you love to spend time with nature, this is a great place to do it,!
Enjoy my membership. Like the bird walks and trail yoga. Live music. Miles of hiking trails. Native plant sale. Many events for all ages and scouting.
One of my all time happy places and sanctuary when I need to get out for a walk and think. Excellent birding here all year. Nice variety of trails from easy to challenging. Its changed a lot over the years but retains a feel of being home. Highly recommended. 👌
One of my favorite places in Cincinnati. So peaceful!!! And beautiful!!! I have gone hiking here for years. Now I take my children to their Saturday nature school program and they LOVE it. Highly recommend getting a pass if you plan on going often. There's so much to do and they always have fun activities for holidays and children.
Peaceful place to walk. Well maintained trails, clean restrooms, and in certain seasons, the opportunity to feed turtles. In the ponds where feeding is not allowed it is common to see turtles sunning, frogs, and sometimes even newts. An excellent pollinator garden plus a variety of natural play areas for children. Wildflowers and naturalized bulbs bloom through the warmer months. In September, fall crocus bloom.
1st— there is an entry fee to get in. I have a pass which was $40/yr. If you are single, a couple or family, and you plan to visit often, I HIGHLY suggest purchasing a pass. If you pay to enter that will be deducted from the pass you purchase. There are restrooms, a welcome/educational area/store. I did see a lot of people with pets although I’m not sure about all trails allowing dogs. The entire nature playscape are absolutely awesome if you have children. Trails range in distance and difficulty so do your due diligence in checking. There is one trail that has like a gazillion steps. Took me a minute and a half to descend all the stairs at a normal pace (I’m short) It’s very scenic though.
The Cincinnati Nature Center itself is beautiful and especially perfect for birdwatching, with plenty of opportunities to see a wide variety of birds throughout the trails. It’s probably the best place in the Cincinnati area for a peaceful and relaxing walk outdoors. Even for people who aren’t especially outdoorsy, there’s something for everyone thanks to the wide range of trails designed for different experience levels. Beyond the trails, there are also unique attractions like the herb garden that add to the experience. The staff at Cincinnati Nature Center are incredibly helpful and knowledgeable, which makes every visit even more enjoyable. One of the best features is the tree coverage throughout the property. It provides just the right amount of shade, so it never feels too hot, even during the afternoon. The center is also large enough that it rarely feels crowded or noisy, making it the perfect place to unwind and enjoy nature.
