Pinecrest Gardens

WONDERFUL "GARDEN OF EDEN" ATTRACTION !!!!! My wife and I visited here for about 90 minutes early in the afternoon on Tuesday, February 10, 2026. The weather was sunny and cool, which made it a perfect day to tour this idyllic place. The last time I was here, was nearly 60 years ago as a small boy when it was then operated as "The Parrot Jungle". My memory is a bit faded from that visit, but I recall it featured a variety of trained birds that would give very entertaining shows to visiting crowds in a geodesic half-domed amphitheater (that's still here), but is now only used for special entertainment events. It's now owned and operated by the surrounding affluent Town of Pinecrest, and they have fixed it up and expanded it even bigger and better than it was when operated as simple tourist attraction. The gardens and trails that wind through them are spotlessly maintained with several waterfalls, ponds, and sitting areas. The stroll through them is so relaxing. There is also a good-sized playground with a padded rubber surface under it for the youngsters to burn off lots of energy, there's a splash pad, there's a small petting zoo, a good-sized picnic area, and an indoor social activities center for adults . Admission is only $7.50, but they reduce it if you qualify for a senior or military discount. They have a good-sized main parking on the left side of the entry road that exposed to the sun, and a smaller mostly shaded lot on the right side of the entry road. I would guess both lots probably only hold about 150 vehicles total. There is also a small cafe and gift shop located at the entrance. We had a great time here visiting on a Tuesday (when the gardens section was nearly empty), but if you come on a weekend, I'd recommend getting here early (as soon as or shortly before they open) because I sense the parking lot will fill up quickly when parents bring their young school-aged kids here to enjoy the splash pad and playground.

We celebrated my sister's babyshower. We rented it for 40 people, the place is spacious & very clean. They provided the tables and chairs, the staff is very helpful too. We celebrated on a Saturday, it was very busy; there is a gym inside and rooms where they teach music and dancing lessons besides the park they have outside. We had an amazing time though.

Still the best park in Miami in my opinion, though the price has gone up from $5 to $8. It looks like some additions are being made, but the water was noticeably murkier this time, and I saw far fewer turtles than I did on my first visit. That said, it’s still a beautiful, relaxing walk with dense tropical foliage. I’ve always enjoyed following the turtles through the waterways or spotting the crabs before they burrow away. Sometimes there are peacocks wandering around the paths, too. At the end, there’s a reptile/amphibian-themed playground right next to a small farm animal enclosure with a cow, goats, chickens, a donkey, and a pig.

This is one of the most beautiful & affordable parks I have ever been to. $5 entrance, free parking, reasonably priced snacks WOW! All decorated for the Christmas season. Has lots of areas for kids and has a splash area for Summer time. I was very impressed & LOVED it!!! We had a wonderful time!

Perfect place to go with kids, very relaxing, it has a small splash area . Also some animals and a playing space for kids . You can find some peacocks 🦚. And a very friendly and quiet atmosphere surrounded by many tropical trees , a lot of huge fish on different ponds.

Absolutely beautiful amazing spectacular event great for date night. My girlfriend and I had a great time. It was 90s hip hop. Great setlist and performance from the the group that played.

It's a nice garden. Very few of the plants are labeled. It appears to have a very active continuing education program for children.

This is a wonderful botanical garden. Small when compared to Fairchild but big enough to host 10 acres or so of carefully planned and we'll kept rain forest, apart from other areas up to 17 acres. Ticket price is rather low and parking ample. Definitely recommended.
