Beautiful museum with interesting exhibits. When I went they had the world’s fair exhibit which has some amazing art work and models of the optimistic vision for technology and future. It’s free for FL residents. Even the elevator and bathrooms were gorgeous. As an FIU alumni this made me proud.

I don’t exaggerate when I say this is one of Miami Beach’s best-kept secrets. The art collection is impressive, the exhibits are in-depth, and the space itself is beautiful. I’ve seen so much great work here, from classic to modern, sculptures to vintage films. It’s a wonderful place to wander and soak up history. Even the elevators alone are worth the visit.

Even though this was my first visit to The Wolfsonian, I was completely blown away and would return in a heartbeat. The highlight of my experience was attending the 'Into the Stacks: Precious Plastics' presentation. Silvia and Nathaniel were absolutely fantastic—Silvia's knowledge and passion for the history and preservation of early plastics made the collection truly come to life for me. It was such an engaging and thought-provoking program that I’m already looking forward to my next visit to see what else this museum has to offer! Well Done!

7 floors, currently 2 floors are for exhibits and the third is being installed. First floor is a really nice, large gift shop and coffee shop that also serves alcoholic drinks. While the exhibits are smaller than I thought, they had quality themes and items! I also love the whole architecture of the building, outside and in. Would love to come back to one of their special events.

A really interesting museum. The owner collects pieces he wants to conserve from his travels across the world. The owner saves things from being demolished or thrown away and puts them in this museum. It's fascinating to see these pieces of history that would otherwise be discarded. The guide was very knowledgeable and interesting.

If you are into Art Deco and who isn't in Miami, then this is definitely a place that you would enjoy. It takes anywhere from 1-2 hours to view, depending on your interests. The Wolfsonian building is located in the middle of South Beach and is not easily noticed when you are driving by it but when you enter, you see how large it actually is. There are 7 floors. The elevator takes you to each floor. The top floor is currently under construction to add insulation. The 3rd floor is the library and it was closed the day we went. You need an appointment to see it, which we didnt know. The first floor has the lovely gift shop and the coffee bar. Admission is free to all Florida residents. You are free to do your own self guided tour. Art lovers and artists have been very positive about the unique collection of the art deco and other collectibles from the early 1900s to the 1940s, including exhibits on the Industrial Revolution, the Great Depression, and World War I. It also says a lot about Wolfsonian that the staff are friendly and helpful in pointing out the well-curated exhibits, and the charming gift shop and cafe. We were very impressed with the art collections and the way they were presented. This is a worthwhile museum to visit.

Considering the potential of the place and topic, the museum is disappointing. I went twice, the second time only 2 exhibits were opened. The entrance hall is great so you would expect the rest to be so, but it is only a few room with a few beautiful posters or objects on display. The potential is great though.
