The Skirball Cultural Center is a beautiful museum with a lot to offer, but there are a few things visitors should know before arriving. First, parking is free, which is a big plus. The north parking lot is available, but it isn't obvious. The entrance is on the north side of the building and drops down below the museum, making it easy to miss. Google Maps doesn't really show it, so keep an eye out as you approach. General admission is $20. However, if you're a member of the Los Angeles County Public Library, you may be able to reserve free admission tickets through the library. Also, if you require a caregiver because of a disability, the caregiver receives free admission. One area that surprised me was accessibility. While the door thresholds appeared to meet the required height limits, not all of the entrances had automatic doors, and several transitions were not as smooth as I expected for a modern museum. Visitors using wheelchairs or other mobility devices may find this a bit inconvenient depending on which entrance they use. What really stood out, though, was the staff. Every docent, every person at the information desks, and every employee we encountered was friendly, welcoming, and genuinely eager to help. They made sure we knew where to go, answered our questions, and helped make our visit enjoyable from beginning to end. There is far more to see than we could fit into a single visit. We spent much of our time exploring the exhibits on Jewish history and culture, which were informative and thoughtfully presented. One exhibit that especially caught my attention covered President Abraham Lincoln and his decision to rescind General Ulysses S. Grant's General Order No. 11, a fascinating piece of history that I wasn't familiar with. I took several photos because I thought it was particularly well done. The gardens are also beautiful and provide a peaceful place to walk and take a break between exhibits. Overall, the Skirball Cultural Center is well worth visiting. Between the outstanding staff, the thoughtfully curated exhibits, the beautiful grounds, and free parking, it offers an excellent experience. We still have plenty left to see, and I look forward to returning for another visit.

Through Feb 2027 there is a comics exhibition at the skirball. Its so amazing for a deep comic fan. I had so much fun! We got in right away. It was decently busy for a museum on a weekday. Seeing action comics one in person was really neat! The whole exhibit was really cool. I would have liked to see some more stuff from somewhat recent days as well but I guess that isn't museum worthy yet.

A great destination for art lovers and history buffs! There is so much to see regarding biblical history and Jewish heritage. I especially loved that they provide specific areas with great views for visitors to eat their own lunch boxes. It makes for a very pleasant day trip.

Headed to the Skirball Cultural Center to check out Jack Kirby: Heroes and Humanity and Trenton Doyle Hancock Confronts Philip Guston exhibits. The Jack Kirby exhibit came with a free tour guide who was genuinely informative, and I’d highly recommend it to any comic book fan. It was such a quiet day that parts of the museum felt like I had them to myself. The gallery spaces were a bit smaller than I expected, though. I grabbed lunch at the café, but it was pretty bland and the space didn’t have much atmosphere. The staff felt a little tense, although that was probably because it was so empty.

The experience was great, from the music drums, Noah's Ark story telling, the pretend play; toys, pretend kitchen, animal grooming etc. There's even arts and crafts and the new garden is beautiful; sand, water, rolling boat, etc. It's beautiful! I will definitely continue taking my kiddos and I recommend it 100% ! ✨️💕

Beautiful location next to a Jewish learning center and school. Beautiful views on the drive up and a nice large parking area. We loved the exhibits and appreciated the plethora of perspectives that you don't often find in textbooks. My kids loved the area on comic books and I loved the exhibit including information about Jewish holidays in great detail with beautiful examples. It opened great conversations with my kids and we all learned much.
