Oh man this place is amazing. They have dinosaurs fossils, reconstructed dinosaurs from fossils, animals from different countries, a new Orca exhibit, and more. Level I there is like a little science center type deal for kids to interact with (although I as an adult interacted to). Level II is the primary museum, thats where you'll find all the main attractions I listed above. Level III is birds of the world. I think they have almost every type of bird discovered. The place is really cool, its not too pricey, and its a really interesting place to visit. Whether you are visiting from out of State or Town, or whether you live here in Los Angeles. This place is an amazing place to visit with or without kids.

The Natural History Museum in Los Angeles is an absolute must-visit. We took our three-year-old, and he was completely amazed by the massive dinosaur skeletons—it's a total dream for toddlers. While he loved the dinos, I was personally blown away by the Gem and Mineral hall. The collection is so stunning that there simply was not enough time for me to press my face up against all the displays I wanted to see. Whether you're going for the kids or your own curiosity, you could easily spend all day here and still want more!

I had an amazing experience at the Natural History Museum. From the moment I walked in, I was impressed by the stunning architecture and the welcoming atmosphere. The exhibits were beautifully curated, informative, and engaging for all ages. The dinosaur section was definitely a highlight—seeing the life-sized skeletons up close was unforgettable. I also loved how interactive many of the displays were, making it easy to learn while having fun. The staff were friendly, knowledgeable, and always willing to answer questions. Everything was well-organized, clean, and easy to navigate, which made the visit even more enjoyable. Whether you're going with family, friends, or even solo, this museum is a must-see. I would absolutely recommend it to anyone looking for a fun, educational, and memorable experience!

A prehistoric paradise for the whole family! 🦖✨ The Natural History Museum of LA County is an absolute blast, especially if you have a little one who is obsessed with dinosaurs! It brings back the same awesome memories as the science center back home in Arizona. The staff here is super friendly, the beautifully designed exhibits are stunning, and the massive dino skeletons make it a fantastic, jaw-dropping spot to explore with family and friends!

We had a great first experience at NHM of Los Angeles. Upon entering the dinosaur hall, we were greeted by a wonderful docent named Jane. It was a real treat to be led around the dinosaur exhibits by someone so knowledgeable and informative. I realize this type of experience may not be the norm but my 7 year old son and I truly enjoyed it. Thank you Jane! We also bought tickets to see the 3D movie T. Rex. Nice theater with comfortable seating and a good show. I would definitely come back to explore other areas that we missed today.

The museum is amazing and it has a ton of things to visit and learn about. I really like it and the price is really fair for what it offers. I was there when it opened, but I do recommend buying tickets in advance because after 3 hours it was packed. They have a lot of different things to see, from rocks to fossils to live animals. It was really everything you can expect from a natural museum. 100% would recommend to everyone!

I have been coming to the Natural History Museum of Los Angeles since I was a little kid. I have gone here with school, church, and family over the years. So being back home for the week, I was adamant about taking my Boyfriend here as he loves museums as much or more than I do. My favorite thing has always been the animal rooms with various taxidermy species from all over the world. Some things have changed over time, but there are so many things that still look the same as when I was a child. The entrance has moved to a different location than it used to be and there have been some updates over the years but it is still amazing every time I am there. We visited while they had the "Unearthed: Raw Beauty" exhibit as well as the "Fierce! The Story of Cats" exhibit. Unearthed, is one of the most incredible exhibits I have ever seen here. It was amazing, breath taking and so beautiful. We unfortunately didn't make it through every last room as we were exhausted from our previous few days of activity. This was an amazing experience and it definitely wont be my last visit here.

Great place to visit with kids! The Natural History Museum of Los Angeles County has rich exhibits that are both fun and educational. The dinosaur 3D show is definitely worth watching and very engaging for children. Visitor tips: California residents get free admission after 3:00 PM, which is a great deal. For parking, it’s best to park at the California Science Center parking area and walk over. Highly recommended for families planning a half-day visit.
