Joan’s on Third

I love Joan's on Third!! I've been coming here on rotation when I get a chance and in the area. I love talking to Joan as well, when I catch her from her busy schedule. She's awesome; wonderful owner, chef and boss!! The team is very helpful and quick with the orders. I always have a great experience whether dining in or taking out. It's very spacious after they re-modeled. So manyvitema to choose from. I think anything you get here, you won't be disappointed. Their popular items are the Chinese chicken salad and their short-rib sandwich. The short-rib sandwich was once printed on bon appetite magazine so I had their recipe to copy it at home. When you don't have the time or energy to make it, come and try them out. Delicious!! I also love to pick up extra items like their pickle slices in a container for $12 and their potato sticks for $5!! It goes well with the sandwich!! 5 🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟for great food and top service!!

Joan’s on Third never disappoints! I love that they’ve kept the old menu—some classics should never change. The chicken tarragon (my absolute favorite!) is just as delicious as ever. It’s amazing that after more than 20 years, they’ve managed to maintain such great quality and freshness. The space feels so much more open now, with a spacious indoor-outdoor setup that’s perfect for everything from a coffee break to lunch with friends. Always a Los Angeles staple in my book!

Ordered the popular Chinese chicken salad. It was OK. I would’ve liked it if it has green onions and more almonds. The crispy noodles and wontons were a plus though.

Hip, Trendy spot here. Plenty of people with their pets inside and outside of this restaurant. I purchased food-to-go. Everything looked picture perfect in the deli display and there are (3) counters to order from so if one line is long look at the others. Bistro style seating inside as well as communal tables to sit and enjoy your feast. They were decorated for the Spring and Easter when I stopped in. Prices are what you should expect for this caliber of a gourmet market. Counter service (over by the beverages) was meh not trying to help me out nor come down to the actual deli display to see what I wanted to order. I stood in front of the display for a while looking to make eye contact when any number of employees behind but none of them even glanced my way. I will say the young Lady at the front register (bakery area) was pleasant and thanked people for waiting. Speaking of which they did not rush anyone who came up to the counter they allowed each person to take their time and make up their mind. So THAT is a plus. The Curry Chicken Salad had huge portions of Chicken not cut in cubes so keep this in mind if you intend on making a sandwich. The Cavatappi Pasta Salad smelled AMAZING and was quite flavorful. Will I return, probably - it's in Little Bit's neighborhood and you already know how I adore Gourmet Market for #culinaryadventures. Respectfully Reviewed.

meeting friends for lunch and coffee -This place makes me happy! All the staff are so warm, nice and helpful. The food is absolutely delicious! their breakfast and Lunch menu has so many selections and all so flavorful. Tried the Chinese chicken salad WOW!

Loved the food and loved the service. I had Joan's smash burger. So good! My friend and I shared a salad trio. We got the fruit salad, pasta salad, and the corn salad. It was all delicious, but my favorite was the corn salad. The desserts also looked tempting. Interesting place. I will definitely be returning next time I out this way

It’s a perfect spot for brunch with friends, a solo coffee, or to pick up something fancy for a picnic. Overall, Joan’s on Third is that rare mix of cozy and elevated — a must-visit if you love great food with a touch of everyday glamour. And I thought delis usually is small and narrow. Here is so spacious with all types of sitting area, which makes feel more comfortable to stay here a whole afternoon. Sometimes just holding a cup of coffee and sitting by the window to watch people passing by.

The kind of place where a business meeting, a family breakfast, and a writer working on a screenplay can all exist at neighboring tables. When I left, I realized something unusual had happened: I wasn’t just satisfied with the food. I actually enjoyed the time spent there.
