Ordered the ribs. Sauce was awful. Ribs were fatty and overcooked so sent them back. Artichoke was undercooked but seasoned well. Hamburger was fair. Overall food was not the quality we remembered from years ago when we went. That was pre-COVID, so seems to be another restaurant that has suffered "COVID jitters" as they now only have servers to bring out your food and clear plates. You order at the bar. If we ever go back, it would be for drinks... the ciders were delicious and sweet potatoe fries which were perfectly prepared. Nice place to sit outdoors on a crisp day and have drinks.

When you're looking for a good burger, this place comes up on your list especially when you live in the Culver area. I was not impressed by the choice of burger they served. They only have one, btw. There's no substitutions, so the person who came up with this burger seemed to be very confident in his choice of what goes with what. The sandwich is not gourmet, it has too many flavors that overpower each other and the fact that this place doesn't have condiments besides aioli?! because the chef doesn't like them, lol is ridiculous. Also, the place smelled like rotten eggs inside and outside, which didn't help. The fries and tots had good texture, but they were very salty and then to have to dip them in aioli (which made it worse), because you don't offer people ketchup, or any other condiments. The only real positive was that the service was quick and the staff was very kind. I would not recommend this place to anyone who is looking for a good burger and options.
Came back to Father’s Office after about 10 years, and both the restaurant and the surrounding neighborhood have upgraded. The space has a dark, cozy ambiance with wood-paneled ceilings, and there’s both indoor and outdoor seating. It wasn’t too crowded on a Saturday night, about half full and not too loud, which was surprising, so maybe they get more weekday traffic. I ordered The Office Burger, which was delicious and definitely not your standard burger, different ingredients and unique in flavor. With a beer and tip, you're looking at $40+ per person. There’s free covered parking, and the area is walkable, with other cafes, restaurants, and home design stores nearby.
So fast and so delicious!! It felt the food had arrived before we’d finished ordering - and was incredible! One of the best burgers I have ever eaten. Staff are super personable and happy to recommend good beers, even on a busy night. A great atmosphere with good inside and outdoor seating. Definitely a place to meet mates and catch up.
Stopped by Father’s Office in downtown LA for a beer and was impressed by their great selection. They offer a well-curated list of craft beers, with something for every palate, from hoppy IPAs to smooth stouts. The atmosphere was lively yet laid-back, perfect for enjoying a drink. The bar food was equally impressive—elevated, flavorful, and thoughtfully prepared. Their signature Office Burger is a must-try, packed with bold flavors, and the sweet potato fries were crispy and delicious. Overall, it’s a great spot for beer lovers looking for quality drinks and gourmet bar bites in a cool setting.
The Office Burger is probably the most gourmet and decadent burger I’ve ever had. I have been wanting to try it for years so I’m glad I finally tried it. It is so richly flavored probably because of the caramelized onions. It tasted like they had some bold bbq sauce in it but it doesn’t say it included. Although for the price you are paying for this burger it was too small. It seems like a cool place for a drink and just to hang out so I plan to come back at some point.
Bartender was very friendly and helpful. They have a nice bottled tea for those who don't drink alcohol. The burger was cooked perfectly. I don't really like blue cheese, so note if you don't like blue cheese, be wary. Fries are skinny and perfectly light and crispy but soft. I would prefer it with ketchup over the aioli they serve it with. Though. Their ribs are super tender. You can kind of taste the bitterness of sauce, but the sauce is good. It's not too sweet or spicy. The fried chicken sandwich uses dark meat, which I love. It's more juicy and flavorful than white meat. It's very crispy on the outside. Overall, the tastes are very varied; I'd love to come back and try new dishes.
I just moved here from Boston and this has quickly become my new spot. The burgers are great, the beer list is rock solid, and as a bartender myself, I really appreciate how passionate the staff is about what they’re pouring. That kind of energy is rare and it definitely shows. Brandon is a rock star, friendly, knowledgeable, and clearly someone who cares about craft beer. He was busy and still took the time to chat with me about beer. I’ll absolutely be back. This is exactly the kind of place any bartender who loves craft beer would be proud to be part of.
