My Son was flown from Las Vegas Nevada to Cedars-Sinai Hospital because he was in Sumerlin Hospital in Las Vegas Nevada which is a terrible Hospital! Doctor Deborah Holder reviewed my Son's case because she has a history with my Son 8 years prior at Children's Hospital Los Angeles. She talked with the Neurologists in Las Vegas and new our Son need to get to California right away. He ended up having his first Brain Surgery on 4/14/26 it was almost a 10 hour surgery. They ran into some complications and our Son suffered a stroke during surgery. It effected his speech and his right hand, and face. They had to go back in on 4/21/26 to install the RNS stimulator to help control his Seizures and hopefully stop them completely. He had some wonderful Doctors and Nurses that took such great care of him. Dr. David Bonda, Dr. Holder, Dr. VHD took such great care of our Son. Coming from Las Vegas Nevada the health care system is pretty bad it's hard to find Doctor's that actually care about there patients it's almost like how many patients can we see in one day. We would drive the 6 hours for the best care. We were transferred to California Rehabilitation Institute today so my Son can recover from his stroke. Probably be here another two weeks. All together when it's said and done we will have spent 6 weeks in California. But it was well worth it my Son is getting the care he needs. Thank you again to the Awesome Doctors and Nurses in the Pediatric ward. 💜

Visitor notes
As inpatient, its a mixed feeling. Some nurses are in top of your pain meds, others wait until you ask but by that time its hard to get it under control, especially at night. Even when asked to wake you so that they are given on-time. 1 nurse aid was putting the blood pressure cup over the IV needle had to tell them you cant put it there, another was a little rough when moving blankets, pillows from around you. When someone has surgery you dont just pull on a pillow or blanket. Had to have imaging done and 1 of the orderlies did not slow or warn you there was a bump coming and just went with no care in the world. They dont clean your room daily (floor, bathroom) they do the trash. Rooms could be a little cleaner. 1 nurse asked where some items were that are normally in a room when you get in here but several things were not. We had to ask for them, like wash cloths, towels, extra blanket ect... Weekends the service for food is very slow and they forget items. My guest has had to remove my food tray just before the next meal arrives. Glad my guest was here as the had to ask several time for stuff for me and assist me with my needs.
The nurses and the doctor is great. They constantly check up on you to see how you are doing. Friendly and caring! The place is clean, and neat. The food is also great, I can tell why it is one of the top hospitals in the United States.
The most challenging & dedicated doctors are in this hospital. They always take care of the patient as their own family & makes everyone is very happy. Hope their heart full hospitality makes everyone happy & cheerful all the way. Good luck.
❤️ My Deepest Thanks to Cedars‑Sinai, Dr. Glenn Pfeffer, and Dr. Max Meshalksi I want to express my sincere gratitude to the exceptional team at Cedars‑Sinai. After traveling from Bakersfield for help with my complex ankle condition, Dr. Glenn Pfeffer guided me with honesty and compassion and referred me to Dr. Max Meshalksi — a surgeon whose skill and kindness truly stand out. My ankle fusion was a complex case because it followed a previously failed surgery I had in Bakersfield, yet Dr. Meshalksi handled it with exceptional skill and care. He treated me with patience, respect, and genuine kindness. He gives his full attention, answers every question, and makes patients feel safe and supported. I am also grateful to the Cedars‑Sinai social worker team for always responding quickly and helping me whenever I reached out. And finally, thank you to my son Matthew, who found this amazing place for me. To Dr. Pfeffer, Dr. Meshalksi, and the entire Cedars‑Sinai team — thank you for your compassion, professionalism, and the exceptional care you provide. Mais Nasrawin
I’d like to recognize Claudia P. from Cedars-Sinai’s Patient Services department for the exceptional support she provided me recently. I called with a billing concern and was honestly pretty worried about a bill I had received. Claudia handled the situation with incredible care, patience, and professionalism from the very beginning. She treated me with genuine dignity and respect and took the time to make the interaction feel personal rather than transactional. Even though my insurance information had not been entered previously, Claudia took the initiative to help submit it for me and made sure everything was handled properly. She also took a moment to ask how I was doing and showed real interest in me as a person, not just another patient calling with a problem. That level of empathy made a big difference. By the very next day, everything had been resolved. Claudia was efficient, knowledgeable, and incredibly reassuring throughout the entire process. Cedars-Sinai is fortunate to have someone like Claudia representing their patient services team. She is professional, uplifting, and clearly excellent at what she does. Based on my experience, I believe she would make a wonderful leader. Her positive attitude and dedication truly stand out. Thank you, Claudia, for making a stressful situation so much easier and for treating patients with such kindness and respect.

My little one arrived via c section a bit unexpectedly on 2/13/26. I was scared and anxious as a FTM but each person I interacted with was amazing. Everyone was so attentive, caring , and patient. I will always be grateful and pray blessings upon each person for the care they gave me and my son. ———L&D Patient from room 3110
