Flew in from Oklahoma, first time. Nice bar. I asked our host( not birds host) is there live music. I could see at one time this place rocked. We ordered adult beverage during happy hour,🍺🍻cheers! The onion rings are the real deal- highly recommend, ordered 2-1/2 chicken dark, 1-1/4 chicken white, bbq sauce dipping sauce on recommendation of the waiter💪✊👍 delicious, & the chipotle. Friends ordered the chicken caesar wrap, this is a canned hard pass. The waiter was a stand up dude, excellent service, sat on the patio, CA weather is sweet for patio dinning😘. Indoors is what you’d expect- it’s a bar. But it has hidden history. Restrooms are clean. We enjoyed late lunch and would do it again. Park on the street or just around the corner✊.
Popped in for lunch on a rainy Sunday afternoon just after they opened about 11 o’clock. Really enjoyed ourselves. Nice little outdoor patio for people watching and very comfortable cozy interior. A lot of very comfortable booth seating and a cozy bar area. TVs for your viewing pleasure and everything was clean and comfortable.
Nate served us and was great. He was also bartending so he was kept busy. We started with an order of the wings with buffalo sauce and while the sauce was delicious, the wings were a little dry and scrawny. Not too meaty at all. So that was disappointing. They give you a lot of celery though and the ranch dressing was good. Then I had the Cajun chicken sandwich on the brioche bun instead of the ciabatta and it was very good. Nice soft buttery bun and the sauce on it was delicious, flavors were all there. Decent chunk of chicken as well and it was nice and tender, not dried out. Curly fries were good. He had a half a chicken with baked beans and oh my goodness those baked beans are out of this world. Absolutely scrumptious. Better than my mother’s! But don’t tell her lol! Enjoyed a couple of glasses of red with the meal and sat at a nice booth with a great view of the outside world. Wonderful little spot will definitely be back!
I have been wanting to one to Birds Restaurant for such a long time and I finally did! Wow the atmosphere is super amazing the service is super fabulous. So I tried there taco 🌮's super yummy. The chicken salad was okay. I am guessing because I eat a lot of chicken. Well any ways love Birds Restaurant in Hollywood California. Tou all must go. Plus the building is super old.
I just moved to LA from Nashville, the point being I'm Southern and I know chicken pie and cornbread. They do both of these items exceptionally well! Go visit, you won't regret it!
Super sad at the decline in the quality of food from this place. I got the Chicken Pot Pie and it was burnt, dry and crusty (not in a good way). In addition, this pie was one of my faves because it was made with chicken breast. This is sadly no longer the taste and the flavor and texture was a mushy messy melange of meh.
Service depends on who the server is - some of them are super friendly. The food is well priced and so are the drinks. I spoke to loads of people here - however certain parts of the neighborhood were dangerous to me - like near Tamarind - so I stopped going there.
After a hike to the Hollywood Sign, my friend found a great local business that's known for their rotisserie chicken. They have outdoor seating by the sidewalk which was full when we arrived at 130 pm but we were promptly seated after a table opened up. I had a salad with added chicken and was surprised by the large portion of chicken breast. Unfortunately I found the chicken a bit dry but the rest of the salad and dressing complemented well. My friend enjoyed the tuna burger and I noticed it had plenty of fixings and looked flavorful. The staff was great in checking in every so often, and I can understand why this place is a local favorite.
Amazing experience! Food was amazing and the sauces were so good! The chipotle mayo is awesome and the servers were also so friendly and nice! Great service. Definitely recommend!
