Was great to go with my grandkids. So many beautiful animals and it's great that Dillons BBQ is there with the big fish tank in the restaurant. Pretty expensive but nice that there is the zoo and an aquarium. My only recommendation is that they have motorized scooters for handicap people. They have the animal ones but anyone can rent those and they were gone the first two times I went there.

Great experience! However, I wish I knew there is only dirt paths and not paved paths. Jelly Bean is super adorable! The Baby Nursery is awesome! Be prepared to walk 5 miles so wear good shoes. I ❤️ all the cats SOO much!

The creation story to this place is really interesting. There are a plethora of exotic birds. The animals all seemed healthy, happy and well cared for. The monkeys were active and many had babies. The variety of big cats was beautiful. We got to see Jellybean the pygmy hippo baby, she was adorable! The rides were fun, we loved the log river ride, and the Rollercoaster-sit in the back for the best time. The aquarium was extensive and we were able to eat some delicious food (KC BBQ) while watching the shark tank. It was busy as several schools had brought find trips. But it wasn't very over crowded, and when the schools cleared our around 3 it was amazing. So much space and so many things to say. I would say you need to start at open and plan to spend the day if you want to see everything. We fed Sea Lions, Giraffes, and Sting Rays. All of the staff were warm and friendly as well as knowledgeable. The wildlife Encounter was really interesting. They brought a few animals out to the crowd to see, and a few volunteers got to interact with them. This is one of the best experiences I have had with zoos/wildlife sanctuaries. We enjoyed riding the "rydables" once the crowd was gone, though they do charge by the minute.

We got a deal on groupon! There was So much too do and see. I Definitely recommend the Ride ons to enjoy the full park. We were able to do the additional experiences for $6 each person ( the train, the safari tour, andthe sky ride), we fed a giraffe and did the petting zoo. There are So many babies including a cheetah, hippo, giraffe, kangroo and monkey. I loved the 2 in1 visit with the aquarium!

One of the coolest zoos we've ever been too. The layout is great and we enjoyed the dirt pathways as it cut down on the heat. The price was $48 per person and there was 8 of us. Then the rides and cool stuff was $6 per person once you get inside. They do have animal scooters that are great but it's $0.39/minute and requires an app download. Scooters froze a few times but was worth it for the younger kids. We'd definitely take our friends here again.

Visiting from Texas and so happy we chose to come here, this is a very cute zoo. Extremely nice to be able to get so close to the animals in their closure. Dillon’s KC BBQ was nice to have lunch at and sit right infront of the sharks 🦈 the Groupon deal came in clutch 🤏🏽🌵❤️

Bought somewhat discounted tickets on groupon so it was a quicker entry. This place is privately owned and operates for profit so tickets are expensive compared to Phx Zoo. Water ride was closed and it was going to be 102 that day. Most of the animals were either hiding out of the sun by 10am or never let out because of weather. We tried viewing it all but with heat, kiddos got hot too easy and preferred the playground, goat feeding area and inside aquariums so we never got to the back. They need more signs, maybe recommend a virtual map to show where you are at not just a picture and possibly a set alarm option for times to view certain said attractions or signs. Gift shop cashiers were not too friendly and do not inform you of the card usage fees until after you pay which is minimal but not for some. They seemed to rush customers and get too aggravated when they see others entering. They need more hand washing stations or hand sanitizers placed. The staff all seem too busy to greet or even look up at you while walking like they don't want another task. The site stated no food or ice chests but so many had them. Love the animals but didn't feel it was worth the cost even on Groupon.

Always love visiting this place and walking around seeing the sights and learning about the animals who live here. We tend to come back fairly regularly because you never know what you may see on your visit. Sometimes the animals are resting in their homes and won't be out and about. Other times they can be quite active. On our most recent visit we got to see both the porcupine and the octopus who on prior visits were usually pretty shy. Their homes look very comfy for a zoo layout, for example the porcupine's place has lots of tunnels they can dig into to escape the heat. Can't wait to visit again!
