Iron Horse Bar & Grill - Lees Summit

I’ve had the pleasure of dining here twice in the past week. Both dinner experiences were excellent. The hosts, servers and bartenders have all been great. The meals we all ordered were delicious! And wow what a great job the staff did on decorating the restaurant for the Christmas season! We are still fairly new to the area but we are happy to add Iron Horse to our list of favorite area restaurants! Thank you for delivering such great hospitality!

During Memorial Day weekend, my wife and I visited Iron Horse Bar & Grill while spending time with family in Kansas City. We slipped away for a little shopping and decided to stop in for appetizers and drinks. We ordered the Sampler Platter with fried pickles, bacon-wrapped shrimp, onion rings, and chicken strips, along with orange and mango mimosas. Everything tasted amazing, and the drinks were refreshing. The waitress was outstanding — very friendly, helpful, and attentive. Great customer service always makes a difference, and she made our visit enjoyable from start to finish. If you are looking for a good restaurant with delicious food, drinks, and excellent service in Kansas City, I highly recommend Iron Horse Bar & Grill.

This was our first time here and we made a new friend, Vera. She did such an incredible job taking care of us. She took the time to get to know us, gave us guidance with menu items, and we never had to ask for a thing. She was constantly making sure our glasses were full, our meal was perfect. The hamburger was perfect. We loved getting to know her and hear how much she enjoyed working here. This was such a great atmosphere and we will be back again and again. We will be asking for Vera to take care of our table. Thank you Iron Horse and thank you Vera. Enjoy that time with Timothy in June.

My new fav place for lunch! First impressions are everything to me and Iron Horse Bar&Grill knocked the ball out of the park! Atmosphere was lovely, and all staff was friendly and welcoming. Our server was Alissa and she was very professional and conversational(owners please take note- she is a wonderful server-don’t lose this sweet girl) It was so clear that she loves people and loves her job. She also was very knowledgeable about the menu items and gave us great recommendations. The food arrived pretty quickly and was hot and fresh. Everything tasted marvelous (kudos to the chef!)! Pricing was very reasonable for our lunch and we will definitely be visiting this lovely establishment again! A+++ all the way!

1st time here. Had a family member in a local hospital, stopped in to get dinner. Our server was really nice. She got busier as time went by. ▪︎The food was yummy. I got some nachos, perfect, had plenty cheese, they didnt scamp. ▪︎I also got there macaroni & cheese: it was "absolutely delicious", 20 star's ☆, for the mac & cheese, Truly the Best I have Ever Had. ❤❤ ▪︎My husband had a ruben it was good, he also had sweet potato fries. I do wish he would have gotten a few more fries, didnt look very like many. ▪︎The meal did have a good value for the price. ▪︎ Only disappointment in the restaurant is: it is "So Noisy", my husband & I couldn't hear each other, when we tried to talk to each other. ▪︎Even had problems hearing our server, when we were trying to put our orders in. I don't know what the solution: to help with the volume of noise.

This was our first time dining. It was absolutely delicious. The cabin shrimp and salmon was perfect. Our server, Vera was so attentive and checked on us several times and was alway happy to help us.

Very loud and had to wait like 45 minutes past our reservation which was frustrating... but the atmosphere was so Christmas-y and fun! We LOVED it! And the food was phenomenal. We will be back! Update: we came back! This time for lunch and it was more quiet and still just as tasty! I got pictures this time. Another update: we went back for our 5 year anniversary/valentine's. We had the steak dinner which came with steak (cooked to perfection), an amazing baked potato, root vegetables, two drinks (the colada breeze is the best drink I've ever had hands down), and two desserts. We also tried the brisket quesadilla. Everything was phenomenal and a 10/10. Our server Kaelin was so sweet, quick, and helpful. This is definitely our new fave spot! Update: we came back for mothers day. We had reservations and were seated immediately. The food was amazing, per usual, as was the service. I have no complaints! *just a heads up if you are a bigger person just know that the booths are pretty snug*

I was so blown away by so many things at this restaurant… The food, the vibe, and the service were all excellent. I don’t know how I haven’t been here before! We will definitely be back. The portions were generous and the quality of the food was all around excellent. Our waitress, Vera, was so friendly, fun, and very helpful!! In fact, all of the staff was very friendly—this seems to be a rare commodity in today’s world, so I appreciated it all the more! We ordered the nachos for our appetizer and the toppings were layered perfectly throughout the giant stack— they were so good! My son ordered the country fried chicken —it was larger than his plate—and said it was so tender and delicious…and he loved the truffle fries that he ordered as his side. I ordered the sirloin steak which was a generous portion and cooked to medium rare perfection. I also loved the perfectly steamed and seasoned broccoli and the tasty mashed potatoes that came with it. My daughter ordered the Reuben sandwich which she absolutely loved. My dad ordered the burger and the sweet potato fries and he loved his meal as well. (The only things that we didn’t love were the two drinks from the “sober sips” menu that my kids ordered…. But that is not a dealbreaker). It’s nice to have another local favorite restaurant. We will definitely be back and I will be sure to recommend this place to others!!
