The Neon Museum Las Vegas

We visited the Neon Museum at night, and it was definitely a unique experience. Seeing all of the vintage Las Vegas signs lit up and hearing the history behind them was really cool, and the atmosphere after dark made it even more memorable. That said, I think the marketing for this place sets expectations a little higher than the experience delivers. It really is a collection of historic signs—which is interesting—but it wasn’t quite as immersive as I expected based on everything I’d seen online. The walkthrough was much shorter than we anticipated, especially considering the ticket price. We actually spent about as much on our Uber to and from the museum as we did on admission. I’m glad we experienced it once, but I personally don’t think it lived up to all the hype or felt like the best value for the cost. If you’re a fan of Vegas history or vintage signs, it’s worth seeing at least once, but I’d go in with realistic expectations.

Highly recommend visiting the Neon Museum at night! It’s a cool experience seeing all the vintage signs lit up. It feels like stepping into a time machine. Seeing the original Stardust and Riviera signs up close gives you a real sense of their scale. Our guide shared fascinating stories about the evolution of the Strip. I definitely think the guided tour is better than the self-guided walk—the stories behind the signs are what make the experience.

The Neon Museum is an interesting stop. It's a gravel lot with some old and restored neon signs from Vegas' past. It feels a bit like a boneyard of neon, with some signs in great working order, but many signs are dark and stacked against each other, waiting to be refurbished in the years to come. The 82-foot Hard Rock Hotel Guitar towers over the place, but it isn't very old. The enormous Moulin Rouge sign also takes up a great deal of space. But, some smaller neon or lighted signs are nicer, in my opinion, such as the Liberace sign, Chief Hotel Court, and the Ugly Duckling Car Sales neon sign. Definitely worth a visit to get a glimpse of what Vegas was before enormous video displays took over the Strip and downtown. It's not far out of downtown, but you'll want to catch a cab or rideshare to get to the museum. You can tour during the day, but what fun is that? Ticket prices are more at night, but that's the best time to see the signs, of course.

Visiting The Neon Museum in the evening was one of the most memorable experiences we had in Vegas. Walking through the restored signs felt like stepping back through decades of Las Vegas history and seeing the stories of old casinos and iconic landmarks come back to life. There’s such a strong sense of nostalgia everywhere you look, especially once the lights start glowing after sunset. Tickets are $35 per person for evening visit and absolutely worth it for the experience alone. If you appreciate vintage Vegas, photography, design, or just want something different from the Strip, this is a must-visit. The atmosphere at night makes it feel even more special.

Easily one of the coolest things I’ve done in Las Vegas. I’m so glad all of this history is being preserved. We went at night, which I would recommend to see the signs lit up. But I could see it being cool during the day too (weather permitting) because there are also many unlit signs that may be easier to see in the daylight. I had recently been watching old videos of the strip from decades past and it was so cool to see some of those signs given new life here. I cannot recommend this place enough and I’d love to come back next time I’m in town.

I really liked seeing ALL of the sign but this piece of history made me want to learn. Vegas seems to erase the darker parts of its history but like a true knowledge seeker I know if it's out there, I'm gonna go find it. This museum is wonderful. What it lacks in size it makes for in the experience. The stories of locally run businesses many of which still operational are so full of detail. It's reasonably priced, not really a little kiddo thing.

I definitely can appreciate the extended life given to some of Vegas's historical landmark lighted displays that only Vegas can produce. We arrived after dark, a magical world of lights. Three of us spent atleast an hour here. We chose the self guided tour. I felt the price was worth the unique experience. It's fairly small but well managed. There's friendly employees around to answer questions and assist you. Each major display has a photo and printed info. There's also a QR to scan for added info for self touring. There's benches thru out and all flat surfaces for easy navigating the property. There's plenty of free parking. There's a small lot closest to the entrance and a much bigger over flow very close around the corner. We had to use the over flow on a Thursday night. There's restrooms and a gift shop. No smoking or alcohol permitted on property.

Loved visiting the Neon Museum! We actually joined so now we are members. They have such an amazing and historical preservation program to support not losing these treasures. They have a huge selection from some of the most famous casinos in Vegas! We will be back soon to try one of the guided tours and possibly an add on package as well. Be sure to visit at night to see everything lit up!
