I was the only one in the town. I’ve seen a bit of historical houses and villages, but this one tops it all. I like that it feels like you’re walking through a regular neighborhood but you after your stepped off the time machine. The woman in the front desk is so friendly and we talking about the things they sell. Fun stuff. I have more photo from my big camera coming soon.

Visited while traveling through Kissimmee. We walked around all the buildings; saw the animals; and enjoyed the staging of each historical setting. They have various Old Florida homes, a blacksmith shop, partial railroad tracks and office, a church, a school house, and Seminole buildings. All are furnished with historical furniture and accompanying information. I loved the church the most; the stained glass was beautiful. The animals are a second standout. Buster the goat and the chickens are very friendly! A good experience especially if you have kids; there is lots of open room for them to run and explore.

A hidden historical gem in a theme park laden area. Love the Christmas decorations on a recent visit. Bought some affordable souvenirs in the shop. Enjoyed a tour with Juliannah who explained lots of history of the buildings and families.

Lovely small local museum and park just off the main tourist road in Kissimmee. Go back in time to see the types of houses of the original ranchers from the 1800s. These were donated and moved to the site along with reconstructions of some of the community buildings as well as a Seminole settlement. The Lanier House also has 3 chickens as well as a really cute and friendly goat (she liked scratches)! 😁 It's very well laid out with notice boards giving the history as well as painting a picture of the people and their lives. You don't need to buy the ticket ahead, but there are coupons available - also if you go to the Osceola Museum on 192 first they have a $2 off coupon for the Village. There are also some trails to further decompress from the tourist traps and glare of 192. Also if you like airplanes this is one the flight path directly into Kissimmee airport. 🙂 Highly recommend!

We stumbled across this village when staying nearby at Storey Lake and were immediately intrigued. What a great experience we had with absolutely zero expectations! Everything was very educational, well kept, historical, and interesting. We were a group of 7 and we all enjoyed visiting! We also got to meet Fredison Costa, who is an athlete who works on property and was very kind, helpful, and hard working! Highly recommend coming to Pioneer Village! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

We’ve been coming to Shingle Creek for our morning runs for about two years now and it’s become one of our favorite places in Central Florida. The trail is beautiful, peaceful, and well maintained – perfect for walking, running, or just getting some fresh air. Pioneer Village is a really cool bonus, with the historic buildings and museum giving you a look at “old Florida” (we remember visiting as kids!). It’s a great spot for families, runners, and anyone who wants a quiet nature escape without leaving town. Highly recommend.

Fun little historic village to take you back in time. Fun to see the old buildings and learn a little about the historic meaning. Hard to believe how people lived in those times.

One of the most peaceful and relaxing and amazing places to take your family and children. You will learn about the rich history of some families from the 1800s in Osceola County. It was also very wheelchair accessible built with ramps in mind for wheelchair users. I came here twice and I plan on going again..
