Central Rock Gym - Kennesaw

Been climbing here for years and the way it is managed, especially since CRG purchased Stone Summit, is terrible. They regularly also host comps that displace 99% of their member base while simultaneously raising prices after the acquisition. Gym isn't clean, they add equipment impertinent to climbing rather than improving their climbing features, and half the staff ignores you if you don't say hi first. There's some great staff too, but there's so many negatives I would recommend not climbing here. (Photo is of monster cans just out and about with nobody in sight to claim them, with staff not even batting an eye. Literally on one of the holds)

Tall sport climbing walls that test your endurance!! There’s a variety of wall angles and setter do a great job setting for all abilities! Boulders were great too. I always enjoy climbing here when in town!

Really love this gym and will keep coming! However other than the supervisor and assistant supervisor who are both super awesome, the rest of the staff or majority that ive interact with have all came across with a superiority complex and do not like anyone. The way they speak and act towards the patrons are honestly negative. There's also miscommunication between some of the staff. If you dont want to be working here then dont, there are several people who jump on the chance to work at this place. If you dont make a certain amount and dress a certain way or atleast appear that you do the staff is just terrible. Best rock climbing in the area though unfortunately. If this changes I will fix this review and if it gets worse ill drop the review even lower. Looking forward to seeing how it goes.

We hosted my son Emerson’s 10th birthday party at Central Rock Gym, and it far exceeded our expectations! Emerson had an amazing time, and all of the kids — and even the parents — really enjoyed themselves. There were endless climbing levels and challenges, which kept the kids engaged the entire time. The staff was friendly, organized, and attentive, making the whole experience smooth and fun. It was truly a memorable day, and we’ll definitely be coming back. Highly recommend CRG for active, exciting parties that kids will talk about for weeks!

I can appreciate the efforts to diversify the gym equipment and more difficult problems created for V2-V4 routes. However, if I have to continue paying for water at $3+ per bottle when I forget to bring my own, then I’ll find a new climbing gym. There is zero reason it should take 2 weeks plus to fix your water fountains. The last time “things” started breaking was with the tread mills. Those have been downsized almost to the point where people have to take turns considering only 3 of 4 actually work now. You have a nice gym…please do better.

Great gym, great atmosphere, great staff. Everyone is always super respectful and helpful. No matter your skill level there is something for you to do here. Restrooms are clean and we'll maintained. Ropes all look healthy and not frayed. Some routes do seem to be set slightly below their grade but that just makes me feel better about my mediocre skill level.

Rather disturbing how this company manages the dress code for their staff. Who thought a grown man wearing super short shorts was a good idea to have around children? The entire experience was ruined by this facility's poor management. We are NEVER coming back and will advise all of our church families to do the same, avoid this disgusting place like the plague. Clearly the negative reviews have been taken down.

Came here for USA Climbing Rope Regionals with our team from Florida and had a great experience. Large facility with great setting, awesome walls, and other well thought amenities. Thanks for a great experience for our youth climbers!
