We're visiting family and traveled from Utah. We just visited this zoo and it was incredible. We took the guided tour, and the animals were very impressive and unbelievably up close. We were able to pet and feed so many of them, even the bison! One of the best parts was the petting zoo with the smaller deer and pygmy goats. It was absolutely perfect for the kids. We fed them, petted them, and had the best time just being surrounded by these sweet animals. Honestly, sitting down with the goats was one of the highlights of the whole visit. Before I knew it, I was surrounded by goats all wanting to be petted and loved. I could have stayed there for hours. The stress just disappeared. These goats choose their people, and once one starts getting petted, you might as well get the adoption papers ready. So precious. This place is a fantastic family experience, and we absolutely loved it.

I must say the experience exceeded my expectations. I was amazed at the sheer number of different animals they had, including rare and ones considered extinct in the wild. I highly recommend the guided tractor tour. Jay provided an entertaining wealth of information that added significantly to the tour. Don’t neglect buying a bucket of feed, as the interactive experience with the animals was half of the fun. Why watch everyone else have fun feeding them to save a couple of bucks? In addition there is a petting zoo, picnic areas, and an add on opportunity ($5) to feed Matrix the giraffe. Very well worthwhile. If planning during summer months, I’d recommend getting there early (before 10:00 AM). The tour in late June was very pleasant in the open air covered tram, but midday or afternoon would become uncomfortable on a hot day. Nice gift shop too.

What an amazing experience! Truly one of the most fun and memorable places we’ve visited. It’s a wonderful destination for every generation — toddlers, children, teenagers, adults, and seniors alike. My mom is 86 years old, and she absolutely loved it and had an incredible time. The atmosphere, the experience, and the joy it brought to our family made this place instantly become one of our favorites. Highly recommended for families and groups of all ages! Pd. One bucket of food per person. You will regret not buying more food for animals. It wort it.

I’ve been bringing my son to the Exotic Zoo Resort since he was born but this was our first time staying in the cabins and it exceeded every expectation. Everything about this place is truly perfect. The staff is incredibly friendly, the property is beautiful and peaceful, and the level of interaction with the animals is completely unmatched. It really feels like a little piece of heaven in the Hill Country. Some of the mama goats even became my favorites and my son and I had the best time watching them follow us around as a herd. He shared his remaining food with the goats and sheep while I tossed mine to the buffalo such a fun and unique experience. As a huge animal lover I never feel like I get enough time with them but that just gives us another reason to come back. We made burgers for dinner, enjoyed homemade apple cobbler and sausage for breakfast over the fire, and had hot dogs and watermelon it was simple, relaxing, and perfect. This trip was originally planned for my father and son but now we have decided to make the cabins an annual tradition. Most importantly my son said this was the absolute best part of his spring break and that alone made it all worth it. We cannot wait to come back and make even more memories here. We absolutely love this place. I think it may be our favorite place on Earth

We came here on a Saturday to catch the last tour at 5pm. There were only 5 people on the tour which made it almost like a private tour experience. We had a lot of fun and were able to get great photos and up close interactions with the animals. They also offer a military discount!

It is fun to ride on the tram with our friends and the guide gives us the brief info about the animals we are crossing also gives us time to feed them. It took exactly 1 hour 10 mins like that after that we can feed the goats and deers as well in the feeding area. You will find lots of different deers overthere also the llamas, elks, emus, bisons, wild goats,ostrich,boar.. the day we went there we got to see the 24 hr old baby bison..kangaroos are in separate shed and the weather is windy the day we went…overall it is a fun experience if we take kids as well.

Amazing time with two toddlers. We loved the tractor ride and the petting zoo and also paid to feed the giraffe. Tons of animals, I'd recommend first thing in the morning when they are most active (and hungry)!

I had a weekend getaway over MLK day to Exotic Resort Zoo, we had 3 families with little kiddos staying at their cabins. It was a great weekend. The cabins are a dated but have all the necessary amenities. Bring your own toiletries here. 1 guided tour and unlimited self drive tours are included with the stay. The guided tour is amazing, loved the animal interactions. We also went to the petting zoo and 5$ each to feed giraffes. Its such an amazing place and kids had a blast interacting with the animals and playing in the kids park. They had an amazing pool but it was really cold. I definitely recommend this place for a fun family focused outing.
