JAMROCK JERK

Came across a Jamrock Jerk Food truck in my neighborhood and had to see what the unmistakeable Jerk Chicken aroma was all about. As with most Food Trucks the line says a lot. In this case there was none and they were dead smack in the middle of a high traffic mall area. That was the first sign. Gave them a try anyway and we were unfortunately disappointed. The jerk chicken was well seasoned but very dry and hard. It was well marinated so much so you didn’t even need the jerk sauce which comes in a nicely branded package on the side. But unfortunately left out too long and lost its tender juiciness. And while Jamaicans aren’t known as Mac and Cheese aficionados so I give a lot of grace here. I think it’s better to leave a major comfort food like Mac and Cheese alone if you don’t have an A+ game. This fell short on so many levels. I’ve had Kraft out the box that I enjoyed more . This was another big disappointment. On a positive note the service was 5 star ⭐️ and the pricing reasonable plus I love their branding. Unfortunately their top seller didn’t quite cut the mustard as they say. Let’s chalk it up to a bad batch! Cheers until our next adventure 🥂.

I had the bone-in jerk Chicken platter and the chicken was deliciously smoked. While I do prefer a little more heat, the flavor was perfect; especially after adding the jerk sauce that came on the side. The rice & beans w/plantain was part of the platter but it was a meal unto itself. Although most might not care, low-key the salad was a banger as well. Super fresh greens and veggies. I can't wait to catch this "food truck" set up again so I can try the oxtail stew and jerk pork and mac & cheese AND whatever else is on the menu.

Drove all the way here just to try this place and it did NOT disappoint 🔥 The food was fresh, flavorful, and packed with authentic Jamaican taste. The jerk chicken was perfectly seasoned with the right amount of spice and smoky flavor. You can tell they put love into the food. Staff was friendly, portions were great, and the whole experience was worth the drive. Definitely coming back again!

Absolutely amazing food. The jerk chicken was incredibly juicy, flavorful, and cooked perfectly — tender on the inside with that authentic smoky jerk flavor. Every bite was packed with seasoning without being overpowering. The sides were fresh and complemented the meal perfectly. The service was friendly and the food came out hot and fresh. Definitely one of the best spots I’ve tried — I’ll be coming back for sure!

A resounding YES for the Meats! Jerk Pork and Jerk Chicken, both HITTN'! Smoked with Pimento leaves, PROPER! Gotta' get there EARLY for the Oxtail and Stew Beef. Rice and Peas were well seasoned with fresh kidney beans, not canned. Dinners also come with a little side salad and two (2) slivers of Plantains. Leave the Mac & Cheese for the Southerners. It was a paltry Rasta Pasta version, not our favorite. They have bottled tropical juices. Flavors include, Guava, Passionfruit, Watermelon and Mango. Watered vapors of flavor with a powdered undertone. Didn't get the Cherry or the Green (?flavor?) Passionfruit then Watermelon were the better of the flavors. Portions for price point are on the meager side. Overall, a DEFINITE for the staples & WILL return.

Jamrock Jerk in Jamaica, Queens is a takeout-only gem with seriously delicious food. I ordered the oxtail, which came with rice and beans and a side salad. Everything was flavorful, tender, and well-seasoned. I paired it with their watermelon lemonade, which was super refreshing and hit the spot. Even better than the food was the amazing service. The staff was incredibly friendly, walked me through the menu, and answered all my questions with patience and enthusiasm. My order was ready very quickly, which made the whole experience even smoother. The ambiance was very relaxing and casual. While they have a storefront, there’s no dine-in option, and parking can be tough in the area. But the food cart is easy to spot on the sidewalk and you really can’t miss it when driving by. If you’re in the neighborhood and craving authentic Caribbean flavors, this place is absolutely worth the stop.

TUDI provided outstanding customer service, was very professional, friendly, and made me feel valued as a customer. The way she interacts with customers truly reflects a high standard of hospitality. I’ve been hearing about them for a while so I had to check them out. The chicken was fresh off the grill, the rice and peas was flavorful and delicious. Plantains were cooked to perfection. Presentation was nice and clean. The professional touches of their logo on everything is nice.
